League one is probably our level as a club. We can’t compete in Championship financially which has been proved year in year out and our attendances are poor in comparison to the majority of clubs. Obviously Preston are a well drilled side with a better Manager but even they get around 25% higher attendances. Yesterday was poor. My understanding is Cook ain’t going anywhere but sure Messrs Brownbill et al will continue their frustrations ranting and raving over the next few days before slowly piping down and accepting the situation until the next defeat.
Gelhardt played a decent ball through for Moore to fuck up but apart from that didn’t really make much impact on game. We were well on top before he came on and we’re no better with him on. If Moores the answer up front I would be tempted to swap him for Kipre or Dunkley as they are probably as ruthless in front of goal.
Still not scored in open play in 15. For second game running clean through by ten yards and like a bloody cart horse.
Would say it’s nigh on impossible at any level for a Manager to fit a 16-17 year old in his side. Maybe the odd 10 minutes but if your suggesting more your naive as to the realities of professional football at the top level. It’s about building him up slowly and I believe he is being handled well. This is the first season he’s even trained with the first team regularly and as I said earlier the coaching staff see far more than any of us.
Why?…Cos we have a squad that I.m.o.has potential to be better than our league position shows.I believe he doesn’t utilise it, particularly Moore.Why sign him then not play to his strengths?..How can Massey be a better choice than Pilkington?..Substitutions are numbingly predictable and the Geldhardt issue is baffling.All in all I have an opinion if that’s ok with you. He is in no better a position than last season with near on 10 million invested,struggle to score in open play have an astonishingly dire away record and again teetering again around relegation zone. Then again if Jackson says he’ll still be here no matter then hey that’s ok then you and super can stock up on the lube and enjoy plenty more Cook cucumbering !!!Of course opinions is what a forums about but your opinion is often ill founded and blinkered. Its now baffling why we don’t play a 17 year old who has never played men’s football and has scored one senior goal. U18s football isnt the same as men’s football and academies are full of kids who score for fun yet struggle in the adult game. Cook watches him train week in week out against men and will know when he’s ready. Lads like Bobby Duncan at Liverpool have been more prolific than Gelhardt and are older yet still have had to leave to play more u19s football in Italy. Moore is apparently brilliant in your eyes yet hasn’t scored in 14. He hasn’t had chances I hear you say but he has. He had em at Sheffield Wednesday, at Derby in midweek and last week against Forest he was clean through by ten yards in the closing minutes only to get caught straight away by their defenders. Your last comment appears to be a man struggling with sexual repression. Not sure where engaging in a sexual act with a cucumber fits in with a football forum but am sure a good psychoanalyst could help.

Rattled? Never felt as positive in last 12 months after last 3 games. We’ve played great. Spoke to Jonathan Jackson last week who told me the lengths the club has gone too in securing Cook for the foreseeable. Carry on bitching and wasting your energy about how inept he is. Will bet you a grand he’s still here in New year. Wanna shake on it?
Certainly not Sammy. Sick of so called fans attacking team and manager. Last 3 performances been very good as some have identified.
Fuck off and support city or Liverpool. Now criticising for outplaying team in top few in league. We are Wigan not Barcelona. If that’s not a performance you can be proud off I would go and support someone else as its not gonna get much better.
