Tested my patience a lot when Everton scored and the West Stand near the away fans all jumped up to show their true colours, became clear then that the 30 or so Police and Stewards were happy to let them take the pee and would only act if Wigan fans like myself started to confront them, after getting sick of the crap they were giving us endlessly.
He only got about 12 games, Laws has won 1 in 10.
Regardless of what happens on Saturday, them giving Laws the job seems an incredible decision….I dont think anyone could believe it, one of the most bizzare managerial appointments I;ve known. Other than cost, what possessed them to give it Laws I’ve no idea.
Think Hutchings !!!
Weren’t we top of the league after Hutchings first 3 or 4 games in charge ?
In fairness, apart from that Westwood fella, the Pompey fans seem a decent lot. That said, there’s a lot of rubbish talked about their fans, yes the ones that go give them superb support, but their gates are incredibly poor for a club thats in a 2 club county with no Premier League club for at least 50 miles. I’m sure that they hardly filled FP even after they won the cup, yet with their catchment area, they should have been locking thousands out every week.
nowt wrong with that westwood fella pal. Sorry
Why the love for Portsmouth and Westwood bungy ?
Brown.
It looks like there’s trouble in the camp, Sky Sports report that Burnley are looking to replace Laws already as results haven’t been acceptable, the fans don’t seem to like him either, reading comments under the story, all good for us hopefully.
I was in ES2 last night and heard singing throughout the game, that might not reach all areas of the stadium but there are supporters in the Wigan stands SUPPORTING their team throughout and because they are the vocal one’s, if they want to sing Roberto’s name or anything else, what’s wrong with that ?
Dont mind the drum bunch making noise but can they PLEEEEEEAse stop crawling up our managers @rse by chanting his name when he has basically delivered f@ck all.
When he has led the team to safety by all means then chant his name by all means. That’s a bit like saying everyone should be quiet until we score though, they’re trying to give him some support I think.
We have to play Hull and West Ham, we’ve said we’d like a win but a draw wouldn’t be a disaster.
I don’t mind them to be honest, another club who thought they were miles bigger than us not long ago might just have to face reality, they had the fairytale FA Cup win but it means little now,
Decent performance and if you were able to look at honest stats, I bet we had about 10 shots on target to their 4 and a lot more posession etc, it’s the end product that isn’t quite there, I quite like Moreno and think he may prove to be a decent striker, a bit of confidence would really help, get a few goals against Burnley, string a couple of wins together and that dithering when players get in the last third would disappear.
Quick question who on this board would take a point at home on saturday I for for 1 would relish a draw I no its not ideal at home to a team that’s not won away all season but with are form of late and to keep the gap between us and the dingles the same?Said the same to my mate last night Basil, would like a win but a draw keeps the gap.
What’s up 32? What does that gesture/emoticon mean?A win is 3 points, a draw is a point, if you subtract one from the other you get ……. 2 points. :geek:
Moses looked good when he came on, on the left, wasn’t quite as effective when he was switched.
And it was only a couple of years ago when a couple of there fans where giving it large in the swan and railway about there new stadium and that they would be a top four team!!!!!They might be a top 4 side in the Championship and their new stadium could be to share St.Mary’s.
