              How about just simply having our strongest left sided player playing don’t left wing, with our hard working striker Fortune up front with a young striker Waghorn alongside him. McCann and Maloney int middle, then any friggin combination in defence.

                Roger, Riera, Tavernier and Maloney have left. That’s 4 gone and a unfit defender in. Two weeks gone! What a cocked up season from the calamatous pre season onwards. This squad with this manager and his strange formations and tactics would struggle in league 2.

                    Agree with Sammy there. Money has probably never gone in Daves pocket, more likely on overpaid players and agents and all the hangers on etc it takes in running a PREMIER lEAGUE/ CHAMPIONSHIP CLUB.
                    Football finance just doesn’t make sense anyway, just look at Rovers and Noblot millions and millions in debt. That just doesn’t happen in the non football world.

                          Isn’t there one more parachute payment? Could we have been any worse without them? Seems like we have only brought in journeymen in the last two years. Add to that transfer money and financially we have probably seen a much bigger income then when Whelan took us through the divisions with his own money the first time but that time we had a manager and players who were hungry and really wanted it.

                                Now the transfer market is another thing. There has been talk on here for weeks linking many players with other clubs and its looking like certain players are not wanted or needed by this Malky bloke. In that case why are all the negotiations not done and new players at the club at the beginning of January. Up to now we have brought a defender in to get himself fit for his new season elsewhere.
