Premier League and interesting in the same phrase.Surely not. The
league is overated and over hyped. Bale 90 million is sick. Kids trapze off Astley Park in Chorley piss wet and shit up to the eye balls back to their cars because there are no facilities due to our Labour councils mis spending. But really we cant just blame our Marxist councils when the Sky infested game is so corrupted. How many changing facilities could a 10% levy on transfer fees was re directed to grass roots football?

I think I may be going down to New Springfield a lot more this season. There is certainly much more to look forward to this coming season. Like wins for one thing and hopefully something more than a relegation struggle.
The football should also be an improvement, surely without the tippy tappy in defence rubbish and the one up front garbage. Lets hope Owen gets all that drivel changed.

            Soft Franco-Geordie git.
Just think if he had met Alfie Craig, Bobby Todd, John King, Graham Barrow, Carl Bradshae, Darren Sheridan or Lee Catermole in a tackle.
Two weeks with a little bruised knee.

A brilliant man a real football legend. Just brought back thoughts of being a young un at Springy on FA Cup first round day. The first round proper was the day to look out for. South Shields at home in the first round replay with over ten thousand on. Peterborough with over seventeen thousand on.
Thirty three thousand replay tickets printed in case we got a replay at City.
                Halifax and Graham Oates’ corner.
Port Vale in the replay with 14 thousand on.
Tranmere Rovers and Alf Craigs goal that wasnt in a blizzard worse than the Halifax game and a mud bath pitch.
Shrewesbury and Mansfield with 12 and 15 thousand on.
Wish Dennis Reeves boot hadnt have split. Would loved to have seen our beloved Springy with 33,333 on.
                RIp Bobby Robson.

Watching that yesterday had as much in common with football as did Becks tactics.
                  Equally as crap.

A great draw. Against a similar sized club to ourselves
and at one of our oldest rivals.
Come on Martinez play the first team in the replay
at Dean Court and change this dull ugly style we play
                    and give us a smile.
A little bit of thought about a trip to Wembley
would help lift the depression your tactics are giving
                    the Latics fans.
Come on Bob most of us want you to do well
but watching Nob End under Beck was more
interesting than what we have now!!!

                      Stirring up great memories.
                      in this thread.
I shall be going simply because it is a nice
attraction away from the overated league
and the greed that goes with it.
Could well be a league game next season and
with a weakened Latics side Bournemouth
                      will begin favourites today.
                      Should be great.

Bob is a Latics icon. A hero as a player and a hero with those survival performances and for keeping Latics in this league of greed and cheats but unfortunately for Bob progression in this
corrupt league is about hard cash and the resources that brings.
Whelan as allways is cautious with the money and why shouldnt he be..its his money and club.
Its sad that sixty or so million from sky just about pays the wages and that to me stinks.
                        It stinks bad.
This is also the crux of why Bob has to struggle with probably the weakest squad Latics have had in ten years and there is not much we or Bob can do about that unless there is a bit of gambling with the war chest in January.
Think that chest got lost in a pantomine of treasure island at Wiggin Little Theatre one winter.

The way this season is panning out again is predictable. This should have been addressed in the summer. The manager spent weeks sipping cocktails with Liverpool then swanning around on TV at the Euros and not where he should have been at home planning to see how he could improve tbings after his first three appalling seasons.Or maybe not appalling if just staying up is the thing to do these days.
The squad was weakened with senior players leaving and no real class brought in.
This is probably the price that is payed to be a solvent club these days.
Stay up in comfort but stay up with massive debts. This seems to be the way of others.
                          True

When did we last have a prolific striker. None under Bobs tactics. Is that the problem?
With a few long balls cutting out the tippy tappy maybe the strikers may start scoring goals.
In reality we have to live with what we have whatever that is.
Premier League after all is nothing to do with fans and supporters at all and our opinions mean
SFA on here and anywhere else. We just have to put up with the overated dross like we have done now going on in to 4 seasons.
Hugo Franco Moses Scotland Sammon Kone Boseli and others It isnt a coincidence that they dont score goals at Latics. Face it if they did they would be sold off cheaply anyway to keep subsidising the fortune that all the players take out of our game.

Its one of the big clubs out of the way. Better now than in the relegation dogfight to come.
Its only the 7th league defeat so far this season.
It was another chance to give Watson Jones and Gomez a run out.
It didnt put us in the bottom three.

How about this one for when we play the Hub Capper or Villa.
                                To the tune of Amore.

Villa wanted you, but then you gave them two.

Ironical to think hat the massive fortune we turn over plus gate and other income is just enough to pay the mercenary players and their parasitic agents.
Average players like Moses Diame and Rodelega on 60k a week is laughable.
Only good thing about the Premier league is to be there and take the mick.
