I reluctantly respect the arguments for Cook going, but I am really really worried about who we might bring in.
Unless it’s horc!
Long term obviously not but Warnock is the managerial equivalent of International Rescue…….one things for sure we wouldn’t be playing league 1 next season !!!
He might not fancy it, but unless we ask, we dont know.
Its going to be pretty revealing if we dont get anything from these next two aways and he is still not fired off.
I am really concerned about our club at the moment, in all honesty. We could do with a strong chairman who will grasp the bull by the horn, not keep sitting back and watching this shit show parade. Its horrible our club at the moment.[/quote]
I don’t think it’s fair to say our club is horrible at the moment. Granted the first team is in a bad place, but, we have two junior teams that are doing very very well, scoring goals, and playing good stuff. Some but not all of these youngsters will make the first team (honestly they will) and when they do they will be our own.
We don’t know the future for Cook but we should remember there still is a lot of potential in the club if we look after it.
We also do a hell of a lot in the community for people of all ages and people who are less fortunate. Aside from our unique history, there are many reasons to be proud and optimistic about our amazing club.
I would honestly like Cookie to be a big success for the Latics; but on Saturday he was already beaten in his head before we even kicked off. It was yet another team that he was heaping praise upon in his pre match amble; maybe preparing the ground for his post match analysis.
How often did you ever hear Bill Shankly & Bob Paisley eulogising about the forthcoming opposition? Their attitude was more about concentrating on their own game and let the opposition do all the worrying. The psychology is really simple; a bit like a child who believes that he is going to be seasick or carsick, so it is no surprise when the inevitable happens. That feeling of trepidation gives the team a subliminal message that it is acceptable to get beaten; because the gaffer already believes that it a distinct possibility.
Who is our sports psychologist ? We have enough people in tracksuits ?
I totally agree with this LHL. Cook’s heros Shankly & co, in fact every successful manager would never waste their time talking about how good the other team is, it should be all about how good we are and giving us confidence.
His pre match talk must be killing our confidence.
As a proud happy clapper I’m clinging on by my fingernails, today was indefensible, but, was one game against a very good team. 24 hours ago many were saying we’re on the up and have turned a corner.
Tin hat on and maybe a blue and white blindfolded, Stoke away will be pivotal. Assuming Cook is still in charge.I’ll be backing the team as ever and I’m sure everyone on here will , but I promise I will not jinx us with any shite beforehand!
UP THE TICS
In these modern times of modern progress, am I allowed to say I may , or may not, have laughed my ass off to this!
Well the thespians well and truly stuffed us, as they have to Barnsley, Swansea and QPR recently, all on away turf.
Please remind me not to post any positive shite on a match day, it never ends well.
For what its worth, number 8 played well with some great skill. But he was one of the kids playing at half time!
Bottoms up!
That picture is worth every penny!
How much will it cost for the full season? Apparently the owners have deep pockets!
A fantastic effort gg and everyone who contributed.
Up the Tics!!
Will Brentford have a warm up before the game or a rehearsal?

This thread has got more weird and bonkers by the hour
KEEP IT UP!
Anyone can see the tactical master stoke of Dunkley playing as “a false 6”
Dunkley for England! Move over Harry Kane!!
Love him or loathe him the players bust a gut for him and you can’t ask for much more than that. Let’s face it we’ve had some total knobs as mangers in the past and we’ll not get a higher caliber of manager on our budget. He will bring the youngsters through in time and if their good enough we’ll reap the benefits.
I agree with whats being said about subs but generally I think we’re on the up.Whisper it quietly….
We’re starting to look a good side.
But Gelhart would have won it if he’d come on
Dunkley scores when he wants!!
It won’t be quiet if the sexy beast bags a hatrick!
I know I know, he won’t get three minutes unless we’re 5-0 down.
