What’s the connection with a city in Urguay?

Definitely many more at the DW. Some of the normally vacant areas at th eedges of the south and west stand had people in. We always wait until after the players are heading down the tunnel and it took longer to queue to get through the exit. finally, the bridges were more crowded.

What was also unusual was that people were smiling, even the missus tolerable!

Can we add that idiot who co-commentated on Sky for the Stoke game. He couldn’t even use the excuse that he wasn’t there.

Discussing Zog’s contribution as being poor, he said he was worth keeping on for the magic he could produce.

Then he went on to justify his claim when he credited Zog for the special moment of magic when he made the cross that Rodallega headed in.

I’m sure Davey will prove to be a good addition to the squad.

I just hope the club have provided him with some sort of cabinet at the training ground that he can keep his valuables in.

Neither as we dont play 442. So all 3 would be in the middle as we played nearly all last season with moses probs on right. Some new minter on left or rods and currently sammon up top…

oops! stupid me, what was i thinking?

I didn’t say it was what i would do, just what I expect will happen.
Clearly he thinks Watson has found his best position and he also likes Diame in the role he plays. He has played McCarthy out left before and with Moses on the right (or the 2 switching over from time to time). He then has Thomas and McArthur as cover for the centre and Gomez or Stam for the right. We are still light on cover for the left.
That’s what we have got so if he doesn’t play Jimmy Mac on the left who’s going to sit on the bench, Watson or Diame?

It’ll be Watson and Diame in the centre of midfield with McCarthy out left and Moses on the right.

good – 3 match ban means his tournamnet is over, he can’t get injured and hopefully he can leave the squad now and have a couple of weeks off and then get back to us before the season starts.

Looking at the PR photo, as far as I’m concenred it could be 1 or 2 or bet, i wouldn’t complain given any one of them (though they may complain about me).

It wasn’t meant to be a criticism of DW. It was a back handed compliment. Bobby having said no, it could all have been left and villa woudln’t be left with egg on their face. He has been a little cynical in “conducting himself properly” as he is the one who put it into the public domain (already knowing Bobby was not even going to talk to the). However, little wigan has been all over the press for the last 2 days so DW got what he wanted – and you have a point, he could be doing it to make the point.

I hope that he has the courage to stand by what he has said and he stays. If he doesn’t, i think it would be a short term gain and delay / possibly hamper his career.
He set out with a 5 year plan and said it would take 3 transfer windows to start to get there. We’ve all seen how we have played in the second half of the season and he is on track. Next season he can show the world what he can do even on a shoe string.
If he goes to Villa he will have to start again and there is always a risk that they take a dive first and get relegated. Lerner will get rid if it starts looking like relegation and then he will be seen as a failure. And it will be a lot harder to recover from relegation at AV than at Wigan (where everyone will have us down for it anyway).
If he stays with Wigan for at least a year more, and he shows us/world that he is delivering on his plan, his next move could be Arsenal or Barca or Man U. Stop laughing, i am serious! I said sometime ago on this board – he will be a top top manager. If Wenger doesn’t win anything next year will he survive? When will Pep G look for a new challenge? How long can AF go on for?
So lets hope he is true to his words (though I fear that Swansea fans felt a tad betrayed) and he shows us the fruits of his plan before he does leave. We deserve to see it having suffered for periods in the last 2 years.
