i suspect that there are many 2 for 3 tickets out there and not all will be used. but hey – get behind them and lets’s do what we can.

Did you really think that we would be able to keep hold of them?

Part of what makes Wigan attractive to the south/central americans is the ability to show case themselves to bigger clubs. As for Zog he clearly needed to get out of toon town but he was always just passing through.

I can also see us losing figgy this summer.

then it will start again next year with McCarthy, Diame andThomas (maybe).

But that’s why Bobby has been bringing in younger players aswell.

Titus may not be captain material and he needs to work in a defence, but he has been our top defender. Don’t get too excited by caldwell. Celtic fans who I know like him but comment on his lack of pace and his own belief that he is one the best passers of the ball. It appears that not everyone agrees with his own opinion of himself. However, I am ready to wait and see how he does.

Roberto needs to make his team watch the dvd of the game and how a team with a desire to win can do it at old trafford

He’s not appluaded the crowd for a while now, so why now? The last time I saw some one do what he did was gary teale at Portsmouth in the 3rd round loss. He left for derby that week.

Yeah they get paid more than we can imagine, but don’t think some of them don’t know what poor is. The likes of Valencia (I know he’s manure now), figgy, Thomas and Hugo come from backgrounds that make life in wigan luxurious by comparison. I’m pretty sure they know what it’s like to be clempt.

Yesterday, went down to tesco’s at 3, roads were fine. Went to me mothers after and left at 10 past 4. It took me an hour to get from Scholes to Standish. All the roads sheet ice and at the slightest hill people became stuck. Not one sign of a gritter (they must have been down at the DW) but if yesterday was anything to go by, postponing the game was both inevitable but wholly sensible.

Look on the brightside – at least we can’t lose. hopefully when the game is rearramged we might have had a chance to strengthen. I for one am struggling with the stress of what might happen when the ball gets into our box. How we came in at half time only 1 down against Liverpool is beyond me.

I’ve kept away for a few weeks, depressed at the negativity. I kept saying keep the faith with Bobby, wait until the end of october before we start seeing things come together. Happy to see that we are ahead of schedule and playing good football.

still a few things to sort out, most of the time B&B are rock solid but just sometimes i think we look very fallible in defence. The Burnley goal is just an example and there were too many times that my heart was in my mouth when the ball was in our box. If that was Arsenal or Manure??

But, it’s looking good and we seem to have become a bit more pragmatic, choosing to take the long ball option at times, which against Wolves we seemed to avoid at all costs and then couldn’t find a way through.

So things are looking good to me, yeh, we’re going to lose more games and possibly heavily on occasions but its good.

As for Paul Scharner, he wanted to play midfield and the only interest he had was for central defence, so he stayed and is getting his way. I think he will stay and i could make a case for him to be Captain when Mario retires at the end of the season.

I even have faith in Bobby that he sees Gomez as a player, give him time. Scotaland is certainly turning out well (even if he is playing the Heskey role – not scoring), hopefully, once he puts one away he’ll get his confidence and get many more.

Things are looking good, lets hope that in January we can get rid of players we want to get rid of and not ones we want to keep, that is my biggest fear. There will be many team coveting players like Figeroa, Thomas, Diame, Rodellaga, N’Zogbia and even Bramble.

Maybe sinclair doesn’t fit in with the long term plan (as he is only on loan), unless chelsea over turn their transfer market ban, he will be going back to chelsea. So he uses him as an impact player.

I for one would like him to succeed and i hope he does. It was great to have him and he stayed with us longer than Palacios and Cattermole, and lets not fool ourselves, we will have people sniffing around us in January and summer and trust me it’s going to be hard work keeping hold of Figueroa, Thomas, Diame, N’Zogbia and Rodallega. I wouldn’t be suprised if even Titus is approached by a big team (and bigger money).

Before Valencia scored he played a spectacular one two and hit the bar. What a move! deserved a goal.

Everyone seems to think we have a Midas touch when buying and selling. We have made as many bad purchases so try to take that into account, people like agahowa, johanson and his tall central defender mate from Sweden. Fitz Hall and don’t forget how much are we going to lose on King and Koumas. The only reason we still have them is that we paid too much and their wages are too good and no one is stupid enough to match them. The list is longer.

I agree, whilst I was dejected that we collapsed so spectacularly I saw enough to think that with more time we will get better and it’s our job to help make sure that we don’t contribute to a loss of confidence. I punished myself by watching it again on sky and even the missus who came out demoralized accepted it wasn’t as bad as she thought. Yes we got hammer in the last half hour and we need to work on the defence but we will get there. Keep the faith, there was some good football and with time it will gel.

Wrong, you’re on the wrong track. The reason is that we have now the hard core wigan fans, that’s it, we have come on so fast we have overtaken are ability to grow the support base and it will take a generation to get it up. In previous seaons we have attracted football fans who wanted to see premier league football. The novelty has worn off and combined with the credit crunch, they no longer have the money for this type of discretionary spending. We are where we are and any money spent on marketing is wasted in comparison to the additional fans it will bring on. Sad but we are a victim of our own success and being geographically located in an area saturated by premier league football.
