If they can retain Jones, he would be my choice.
He will probably go with him !
If he feels confident in his ability to manage at the top end of the game then if I was him I would be off to Goodison before you could say ” And Jones will follow him “
It would appear that the Everton fans are split as to whether they think RM is any good or not !

Championship.
Points 61
GD Minus 6
Goals for 55If our defenders had just hoofed it away when under pressure instead of trying to play it out of the area we might have finished in a far loftier position than we did !
Palace are in the Prem on merit and just like we were are fancied to go straight back down. We lasted 8 seasons and so who is to say that Palace cant survive ! We punched above our weight for most of our prolonged stay in the Prem and to say that a club doesn’t deserve to take our place because they won a nervy play off final is just bitterness in my opinion !
A couple of things. Can it be made to fit the screen so that the sides of the background picture cant be seen and can the font size be made larger for the replies as this is barely visible to me !
Oh, and the tab options seem to be rather faint !Tab options issue sorted.
Background will be later.
And am looking into allowing the ability to increase font size. Will update later today.
Good work, cheers ! B)

ok FA cup success but that just paperd over the cracksYou must be a barrel of laughs down the pub. Do you ever have a day off?
Bet you don’t drink with Griff. :)
He did once, actually. And don’t believe half of the tosh that he spouts on here, he’s a big soft mard-arse, really ;)
Did he leave with a book ?
StayMy gut feeling is that Roberto and Dave Whelan have not finished their “project” of building a sustainable Premier League club from a club that was on the verge of extinction.
It’s obviously not about money but more about building a club to a model that doesn’t have to rely on a benefactor with deep pockets for it’s very existence.
I may be way off the mark but I also feel that, if he was going to leave, he would have gone to Aston Villa or Liverpool rather than Everton (can’t even contemplate him going to Stoke).
Attendances continue to rise and the new training facilities are in the pipeline so the “project” is still alive and well. I don’t think he will leave yet, but when he does, I think he’ll have a holistic football CV which no one else in the game could match.
Hope I’m right – don’t want Fil’s egg on my face ;)
I hope that your closing line isn’t some sort of euphemism
Wouldn’t surprise me if Uncle Dave had something to do with this !
It’s all gravy to me but I hope that this doesn’t drag on for too long because there is plenty of work to be done squad-wise before our next campaign !
I cant help thinking that Griff has a get out clause with this one due to the ambiguity of his suspected put down ! ;) Think Mourinho and Darren Orme ;)
It is incredible how the lack of a ‘smiley’ in a post can make you come across as condescending and serious when actually you are sat at home giggling away to yourself. It amuses me anyway, and that’s all I really care about.
Oh yes, almost forgot… ;)
I am in fits of laughter sometimes as I reply to posts ! I have an uncanny knack of appearing to come across as deadly serious to some folk when in fact I am taking the rise…Again ! I think it is a better trait than being a ‘Multi’ ! :cheer:
That just reminded me of Wigan’s new signature tune !
Whelan stated on Talksport yesterday that he had allowed RM another 24 hours to discuss his future with his wife. He did say that the club needs to know one way or the other for the purpose of preparing for what is going to be a tough campaign ahead next season. He mentioned bringing in more players and strengthening the squad due to the extra games, I just hope he was being serious and not just soundbiting again ! The interview left me feeling positive though ! Oh and he said that his gut feeling after yesterdays chat with RM was that he would stay, on saying that he did say that he thought RM was the best manager in Europe right now !
