Didn’t Ramis criticize Boyce’s performance a while back resulting in a bit of a changing room spat ( Allegedly ) Boyce is quite simply too old and slow to be a wing back in my opinion !

What happened to all the Espinoza hype then ? He was going to be our saviour a couple of months ago ! He looks like another duff addition to me !

Our home form is awful and we have two massive games this
Month against Newcastle and Norwich which I think will shape the run in.Lose them both and I think we are done for and no positive slants from the manager is going to change that.
our home form is so bad it’s unbelievable and they need to try and fathom out the reason because no wins in nearly four months(Bournemouth game included) is just unacceptable.
the pressure is off at Everton and maybe that will result in a better performance but let’s not lose sight of the fact that we could be six points adrift of safety come that Newcastle game.
Martinez needs to look at his squad and make a tweak here and there like he did with Maloney last season because the games are running out and we need to turn this rotten home form around very quickly!

Problem is though (as ridiculous as it sounds) is that that those games are at home and the players don’t care enough to get gee’d up for our home games.

See why i don’t have a season ticket any more.
          £250 to see 1 win so far…………… I don’t think so.

I will invest my money when you do Mr. Whelan.
We have won 2 at home this season ! Still shit though ! ;)

I Just think that the manner in which we got mullered was very bad and there was no evidence of that fight that was shown around this time last season ! More than enough players had shockers yesterday !

These stats consist of very fine lines, for instance his ratio of assists to games is 0.23 ( 6 from 26 games ) whereas Kone has a ratio of 0.22 ( 5 from 23 games )Maloney isnt too far behind with a ratio of 0.20 ( 5 from 25 games ) Very fine lines I think you will agree ! A more interesting stat to me is the fact that he has started 43 games for us in all comps and not scored a single goal yet ! Bloody rubbish !

Everytime someones tries to quote statistics and “facts” in an attempt to justify their opinion of him being rubbish/awful etc they end up arguing the opposite.
OK, so he’s not scored and maybe that is a criticism but I fail to see who else is available that is better suited to that left wing-back role.
Stam can play on the left and although like JB is not good defensively he can take a man on and put in numerous crosses. Just my opinion mind !

…including McCarthy and Maloney, and perhaps Kone too.

                      McCarthy… ye.

But who have the other 2 been linked with?
Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill wants to sign Wigan playmaker Shaun Maloney at the end of the season, writes the Sunday People.

O’Neill wanted the Scotland international in the January window but Latics talked him into signing a new long-term deal. However, O’Neill plans to go back in the summer for a player he had under his wing at Celtic and Aston Villa. If Wigan go down – or Sunderland offer at least £2.5million – then the crafty midfielder will be on his way to the Stadium of Light.
I wouldn’t be surprised if O’Neill tempts him away regardless of whether we go down or not ! If they go down and we stop up then he may just stay put but any other scenario and he will go to Sunderland in my opinion !

If indeed he did mean his pass of the season meaning his best pass of the season so far, which he didn’t I hasten to add, but if he did then it wouldn’t have taken much of a pass to eclipse his previous best contribution ! I would be willing to wager that if we went down not one current Premiership club would come sniffing around for him !

This typifies the difference between the lightside and darkside – The pass was an integral part of a peach of a goal. How can anyone see any negatives in it,apart from Fil that is? Is Beausajour your new Jason Scotland Fil or are you staying with Jordi for the long haul?

Please lighten up and at least enjoy the happier times of our season. There have been precious few of them up to now so let’s enjoy them whilst we can.
I don’t know where you get this Jason Scotland hating thing from although he wasn’t very good was he ! As for Gomez I don’t recall ever calling him on here or anywhere else come to think of it ! The Beausajour pass was indeed decent and I haven’t said that it wasn’t but on the whole this season he has been poor in my opinion. So to recap, there has been no negativity re his pass however good folk perceived it !

His tactical nous is minimal and he can be stubborn and Wenger-like when it comes to diversifying

Now there is something I completely disagree with :cheer:

His tactical nous is the highest I have ever seen in charge of Wigan Athletic do you remember Paul “one way to play” Jewell?

Just because he doesnt bow to the morons on here to abondon a footballing philsophy that has so far kept us in the PL for 3 seasons does not make him stubborn and unable to diversify.

I dont think there has been a team in the history of the PL who will have changed formation on a more regular basis than we have this season.
He starts with the same formation and the same line up when fitness of certain players allows…Religiously ! As for Jewell, he got us here in the first place and then got us to a top ten finishing position and a cup final, not too bad for a ” One way to play ” philosophy eh !By the way, just how many different ways does Bob have us playing ? I have only witnessed one to date and it hasn’t exactly bettered that of our as it would now seem to some forgotten hero ! ;)

Well if he looked worried then Martinez looked like he was shitting himself last night at Goodison ! What have Liverppol to worry about anyway ? They wont go down and they should just about be ready to accept the fact that they wont be finishing in the top 4 and so I cant see why a manager would be looking worried !

Just watched Reading highlights again. Scharner’s first half challenge on the Russian guy was awesome. The determination he showed to get back and get in such a clean challenge was impressive. If the whole team can show that kind fight and effort for the rest of the season we have a very good chance of staying up. I’m guessing the back 3 that started last Saturday will be our first choice for the run in? I’m sure Alcaraz will get a full run in the FA Cup but I’m guessing he will be used as back up in the run in?

I think Gary Neville made a very good point last night (in fairness he’s not a bad analyst) about beausajour for the second goal. He took a chance in closing down Morrsion who then lost the ball in midfield that lead to our second. If Morrison had managed to flick the ball to Kelly as a result of Beausajour committing himself Kelly could have had a free run down the right. If Reading had scored some fingers would have pointed at Beaujasour. Instead we are talking about his ‘pass of the season’. As Neville said these are the small margins in football.

It was a decent pass no more no less but to be calling it the pass of the season !! I see passes like that week in week out on MOTD and the likes !
