Is not singing yet with shit results like that. More points thrown away against rubbing rags.
Five points alone dropped against Doncaster.
Look over your shoulder Gary. A Tuesday win essential now after this pathetic result today.

To quote garswood. FFS donny. Have you seen the other results today. I think all of the top 6 have dropped points today. We have no right to win matches. That loss might just be what we needed. A good old kick up the arse might just be what we need to gain promotion. & have you checked the league table. We are still top.
Walsall won!
I realised that after i posted it. The rest lost though so all in all it wasnt a bad weekend.
Burton and Bradford drew!

And that was 2005. The last time you won at the JJB/DW was 2013. But we have also won in the interim in the Premier League, so it’s a bit selective just to choose the Championship game. :)

Not really. The thread was asking whether you’d like both Newcastle & Sunderland to be playing in the 2nd division next season. All the meetings since 2005 have been in the premier league, when Sunderland have had losing seasons, been generally shit and have escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth. Even now, we have sold out full allocations on 15 of 16 away games. Last season was the same – sell out.

The point that I was making was when Sunderland have a successful season, even in the lower leagues, the demand for away tickets increases to the point where they could easily take over some grounds – can you remember pre-2005 any visiting side even coming close to filling the Boston Stand? It was the same in 2006/7 under Keane, when we took 9000 to Barnsley, 7500 to Hillsborough etc etc.

If Sunderland go down (you’ll have a very good idea by 2.45 on Saturday) and if Wigan come up, and if Sunderland are having a successful season by the time Sunderland come to the DW, expect the away end to sell out, and expect many fans in the other 3 stands too.
Yeah, Leeds same season filled it, both 17000 plus gates! Mind you Leeds are a bigger club than Sunderland and also historically better supported on the road!

By the looks of things I would say that none of them put a shift in! :P

We would have to do a proverbial ‘Devon Loch’ to not go up automatically, it’s not gonna happen, stop worrying! ;)

What a well earned, hard fought three nurps that was today. Coventry made it really difficult for us and at times, so did the ref!!. :woohoo:

MOM for me was Donovan Daniels, closely followed by Morsy and Perkins. These are the games that win you promotion, very much similar to the Rochdale game. Teams set themselves up to contain us at home, throwing bodies on the line.

We are seeing all the various sides to our team this season, one that can knock it about and score for fun and also one who can grind out results like we’ve seen today.

Well done GC, another step closer to the Championship and as I expected, the teams around us cannot cope with injuries and suspensions, like we can.

                Bring on the Donny! :cheer:

Pedant alert…..It’s actually Donervon Daniels! Unless he’s started learning the guitar! :)

Nearly 15 hundred replies and almost 40,000 views tells me that this is one very popular thread! With hindsight it maybe should have been called ‘Bottom Half Bob’ and let’s face it Everton should not be in the bottom half with the squad that they have, then there was that promise of Champions League football within 3 seasons! His only hope to appease the natives who are growing increasingly restless is for them to win the FA Cup and going off this thread even that doesn’t do the trick with some folk! At the end of the day he hasn’t turned out to be the great manager that DW said he was but then again who listens to his sound bites any road! :cheer: I think RM’s future lies in international management but not sure where?

It will sell out but they’ll go on general sale. Plenty will be going for varying reasons.

What varying reasons? Shopping? Sight seeing? Visiting relatives perhaps?

I wonder if he changed his style of turgid play in the cup for Everton like he did with us. Such a shame about Bob when he wanted to he let his principles on football drop and we looked quite good. Just a shame it was 1 match in 15 or 20.

No one is biting Donny lad! ;)

Did Nob End not get something like 89 points last season and had to contest the play offs!?

Unbeaten in 15 is it! You can’t knock that sort of form in this division!

Is that the the same Filmoss people will be thinking! :)

I can’t see us losing more than 2 more games this season! Onwards and upwards, feeling positive!

Even at 34 he is a far better player than McCann and his experience will stand us in good stead. Like GC said, “It was a no brainer”
