I refer you to a previous reply to you after the Chesterfield game where you said Port Vale would have to be some team to beat us.

I said I’d rather sit back quietly hoping we wouldn’t go 2-0 down before we started playing.

      Do you see now?

One swallow and all that! Some fans get a little giddy when we win and start to think that the smash it with 100pts comment isn’t as stupid a comment as some of us might think! :P

You two need to get a room and sort out all that pent up anger with a good bumming session!

Was it McCann I saw also attempting to take one for the team when they got their winner? Tried to punch the ball clear! Defence absolutely clueless for 2 of their goals and Barnett should have been tracking the run of the lad he clumsily felled anyway, he is a big lummox very similar to Bramble in my opinion, he has his positive moments but on the whole he’s not very good! As for Caldwell messing with shit, some managers like to tinker and chop and change things, when they come off they are hailed genius’s but when it goes tits up they are pillocks! Still in touch with the leading pack as other results seem a little capricious at this moment so let’s not get too down eh!

Barnett last week, zero to hero, this week hero to zero! What a fuckin prize plum!

Ffs why?? Look what happened last week when Gary realised his mistake and amended things, so why back to the formation that took us to two nil down last week??? How do these things work??

              Obstinance maybe?

I sort of knew that my comment would fly over most if not all of your heads! Sometimes I’m just too clever/witty for my own good!

He played for Wigan Juniors and was a Wigan fan back then! The very use of the term ‘Plastic Manc’ Speaks for itself I think!

Port Vale have a rather well known fan, a certain Robbie Williams. Have Wigan got any such famous fans? Don’t mention Stuart Maconie, he doesn’t count! ha ha ha Richard Ashcroft does and so he is my choice, who have you got to add? I don’t believe the Russian connection by the way!

                        Gutting isn’t it?

We could have made a fortune selling him off last year ;)

Nah…he’d have been in the Development Squad – loaned out to Bentford with Rob Kiernan, then off on a gimme in the January 2015 fire sale.
Truth said in jest! ;)

Well it certainly quashes the idea that Everton were also interested him, one guy against the manager and everyone else isn’t exactly a full on interest is it! The phone call Moyes received sounds a little cloak and dagger!! I believe that both managers ( Moyes and Martinez ) knew their respective fates at that time and I reckon that Henry was also in contact with Martinez and knew that he would be going to Everton come the end of the season! I’m not totally convinced that there was a link in all of that business but it does seem to be a bit of a coincidence what with not one other club knowing of this lad’s potential? At the end of the day it will never be proved!

Did anyone notice the reaction from the bench to the late winner? Did everyone celebrate? Last season the bench seemed bereft of unity with players sat looking at the floor, even when we scored which wasn’t often to be fair!

I doubt very much that these monitors are worn out of football time so to speak!

You’re right. They don’t wear them after training.
Was talking to a former player in the Spa at Aspull, I asked him about the gadget on his back and he explained what it was. The first thing they do when they report for training is plug um into a laptop or similar that downloads the data for the period since the last training session.

The technology these days is unbelievable, I think that footballers are so finely tuned that it just needs one little blip and they could be out for weeks.
He must have forgotten to hand his in when he left the training ground! They are not used outside of football!
Says who? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I say outside of football I mean that they don’t monitor players away from training or actually playing unless of course there is some underlying heart condition that may need monitoring but that would be done via a doctor. It ain’t some ‘Big Brother’ device that tells his employers what he has been up to!!
An alarm goes off at the training ground when they rock up at Nandos or The Bubble Room in Alderley Edge.
Caldwell to say Perkins ” What ya doin givin the mrs one at 3am last night? You’re supposed to be gettin 8 hours kip man” :)

Not many sides win being 2 down with less than 10 mins to play and so I say a big well done for the houdini esque comeback!
