I would say that a player who was plucked from the SPL whilst at that time the leading goal scorer in that league should be the first name on the team sheet in any League One side! Bought in January when our fate looked pretty much sealed ( Well it did to me! ) and hardly got a run out, so probably bought with a view to being our number one striker in League One, step up to the plate ‘Wee Billy Lad’ !
My Nob End mates have been taking the piss saying that apart from a hat trick he scored in a 6-1 drubbing of Carlisle he only netted 2 other times in 15 outings! Four different fans ( They don’t know each other ) have told me he was utter shite!
Like the other Bolton player we have just signed Davies seems to be injury prone, especially his hamstring! Not sure why they have both been given 3yr and 2yr contracts respectively when they are both injury prone?

If that figure is correct could we possibly be looking at crowds of in the region of 4,000? Surely that many can’t jump ship at once?
Yet again some of us less positive/optimistic posters have been bang on the nail with our preconceptions of doom and gloom! ;) From what I have seen in the transfer activity so far isn’t much better news either! :huh:
My Scottish eyes and ears young Ross McNeil said of the Turkish guy that he is a good player, a menace to defenders! The lad we got who had been on loan at Aberdeen ( Ross’ club ) was described as being a massive presence and solid!
Can anyone who attended the fans forum confirm exactly what young Sharpy said about the new training ground and academy? I’ve read and heard different versions of his comments.The below quote from Sharpe is only 3 months old.
“We will also continue to prioritise plans to build a first class academy and training ground, where the club can start developing its own players to feature at first team level more regularly”
Is he now saying the project is shelved? What a shock. :ohmy:

McClean and Fortune are (IMO) both great target men. They’ll run all day and cause defenders problems. They won’t get you 20 goals though and should have been played alongside someone such as Mckay, Waghorn or dare I say Delort.
Fortuné is a one trick pony,receives the ball with his back to goal, leans back towards the defender and either gets gets dispossessed or falls over, one of the worst strikers I have ever seen and I have seen a few bad ones![/quote]
Or he would skin the defender and get a shot away (granted he wouldnt score) or cross (winner v brighton) or win a foul (penalty v city). He is never a goal scorer but harsh to say he did nothing else, he just had no support.[/quote]
It’s all about opinions! To me he was useless, you should have been rhyming off stuff he had done for several lines, the thing is unfortunately you can’t! :(
