Has anyone noticed that as soon as Gomez gets dropped surprise surprise we start winning football matches. Last season when we went on our good run and stopped up, Gomez never played.
And yet when we had our good run throughout December it coincided with Gomez coming INTO the team , and scoring, against Blackburn.
Sorry my mistake, lets give him player of the season :woohoo:
Shocking news, get well Stilyan.

The guy is fucking useless he’s never a Premiership player as long as I’ve got a hole in my kiaber. A waste of 2 years wages as far as I’m concerned.
Have we ever played Leicester City cant remember playing them men ?We’ve got Brett Ormerod we’ve got Brett Ormerod. We beat them at Leicester in our promotion season to the Premiership and Brett got 2 goals goodpost goodpost goodpost
The same people who see winning at Anfield as an historic moment most likely have a calm view to that of relegation.
Old school or maybe just schooled in general….
I’m not old enough to remember the glory days of Liverpool but alot of people on here would of been around when they were today’s equivalent of Man U.
And if we beat Man U at the DW I will have a plaque placed on my forhead to celebrate the historic moment in which we beat one of the best teams in the world!
But as the alarm clocks off I think we will get our arses torn by them….
I will always have a soft spot for Valencia but putting that aside the way he has been playing this season is immense… so I hope he doesnt play as I think he will fly plast Booser / Figger and cause us all sorts of problems.
All in all it just makes the Stoke game that much more important.
So taking into account the people who have been coming on this board saying the team give them nothing to cheer about you’ve got your win at Anfield so get behind the team and one of the best young managers in europe.
Salford every post you do you state Bob is one of the best young managers in Europe. What the fook do you base that on??? his record since he became our manager is an absolute disgrace. I struggle to think of any other Premiership club who would have put up with his results and still employ him.
So please pack it in because it’s bollocks.
Well done Salford, only took a couple of days baiting there to catch a huge whopper!
Surprised Hindley, very surprised at you falling for that ;)
Lets just say it wasn’t the best day at work I’ve ever had
City for me I absolutely hate United.

Momo has lazyites by all accounts
Yeah swallow your humble pie and enjoy the rest of the season under the best young manager in Europe.goodpost goodpost goodpost goodpost goodpost
But a superb result :woohoo:
I wouldn’t bet on it Filmoss I think he will be at the DW next season no matter what division we’re in. If we go down and have a bad start next season in the Championship then it may be P45 time.
With regards to Marlon King, IMO footballing wise he was a flop & an expensive one in much the same vein as Boselli. However in footballing terms the club still had a fairly valuable asset (isn’t he currently playing for a top 6 Championship side?) – he only became of no value for non-footballing reasons and when the club cancelled his contract (rightly in my opinion).
I agree with much of what you’ve posted Tyldesley, but in my opinion King was in excess of Boselli’s ‘floppage’.
He was £5.5 million, which for a Championship player is heck of a lot of money, and as he was signed on £40k a week deal, as soon as it was apparent that he wasn’t going to remain a permanent feature, his wages meant nobody wanted him.
He already had a reputation as being a misfit when he was signed, so in my opinion, I’d dispute the fact that he was ever a saleable asset, and from the minute he put pen to paper, we had a white elephant on our hands.
All that said, you can’t put the blame entirely on Bruce. Managers have an array of people (club employees, and otherwise) scouting, advising, and – you’d like to hope – running checks on potential signings. surely someone must have flagged up his chequered character somewhere along the way?
For the record, I’d still like to see Boselli given another go, and think he could have done a decent job in the current variation on formation and ever so slightly improved form.
It’s a pity in January after not being able to bring in another striker we couldn’t call him back. I think with the number of chances we have created of late Boselli may have scored us a few goals.
Can’t disagree with that hinders surely he would thrive on the amount chances in the last 2 games Butt ( and its a whoopie Goldberg size one) …
Di Santo did fantastically well to get on the end of those high and very direct passes and the constant crosses from the left (obviously did terrible to not score them afterwards) but would boselli have provided the same sort of movement and tactical awareness that is so important in that particular style of play??
Or am I just starting to sound like Martinez… Haha :)
No he wouldn’t :(

A Blackburn win for me, I think they just about have enough to pull clear but Noblot if they lose are well in it. If we can just find a few goals I think we will be ok but can we???
You should have a word with jayt so all the original posters can have a message board all to themselves ;)
Dont forget we are 3 points better off on avoiding relegation than we were at this point last season…If Liverpool beat QPR and we get something out of that game (which if we put in a performance like the last 2 games I can see no reason why not) we will be well on are away to acheiving our aim.
I’m sorry Salford but the last 2 teams we played we have battered teams and created numerous chances and converted 2. At Liverpool I don’t expect us to create a load of chances so I don’t see us scoring. And guess what Liverpool probably will so I can see plenty of reasons why we will not get a result.
