From the Latics banter Facebook page.
“The full set of officials from our match against Bournemouth have been dropped for this weekends fixtures, hopefully the same will now apply for those who took charge of yesterday’s match. They didn’t have a clue what they were doing at times.”
Its a case of horse and barn door though Argus69 – points have gone and cant be clawed back. when refs are crap they still win.
I sincerely hope that isn’t a dig at me, because by quoting my post it certainly looks as if it is?
You really are paranoid when it comes to anything I say, I highlighted your post beause you asked the “gobshites” I talk of to “spare a thought for the organisers of these trips” and added it may be harder for police to “turn a blind eye” when it is being openly discussed on a forum.
Well it seems your prediction came home to roost on Saturday and that is why I quoted you, although after your reply I do think the “gobshite” cap sits squarely on you head.
Jesus, get you!! You get involved in a couple of Darby and Joan charabanc outings to Wembley and now you think you’re Thomas Cook himself!
If indeed my prediction “came home to roost”, if it had anything to do with this thread at all then I would blame the idiot that started it, not the few sane people on the thread who tried to dissuade them from continuing the discussion.
And you seriously think that the authorities need a thread like this to help them with their intelligence gathering? If your coach trips have had their wings clipped in the manner you suggest, something really serious must have happened. What was it, did someone try to smuggle on too much Ovaltine, or something?
I think he was referring to your paranoia.
Anyway, lets not forget a well known member of the thin blue line is an avid supporter and follower on this forum. They dont need to appoint persons to scour forums, the police/fans can do it themselves.
Gordon Milne who also dabbled with an FA cup run which involved a great game against man city at maine road.
I dont think Coyle knows his best 11 yet and Holt was let down quite a few times with support play. We need to relearn how to play in the championship its tough, physically, and some of the play by Bournemouth and Doncaster was straight out of the 70s. Holt will come good when he knows who is going to be where and when during the game. As for the reference to old fashioned centre forward I think that is what we will need to do well in this league.
There may be/are bad decisions being made against us – but if we just go all out and score lots of goals it won’t matter, will it?but we must be allowed fair opportunity to be able to score lots of goals; so it does matter actually.
The penalty was not given for handball was it, Beausejour missed the ball and kicked the Bournemouth player in his stomach, it would have been a foul anywhere else on the pitch, the McManaman tackle was similar to the lad at Barnsley, no better no worse and most thought he should have been sent off.The main concerns today were how many times Beausejour was off side when he didn’t need to be and should have been looking down the line, the poor passing and the hoof ball because of the lack of creativity.
Now that is spot on lad
Calm down lad. Its only our second game. I’m not saying that I’m over the moon about our performance but there is plenty of time to show what were made of. Weve been here before remember.
It seems, Lostock, that he has it in for all the “knobheads” as well (taken from the M-A Fortune thread). With a superiority complex and head that big I’m surprised it doesn’t affect the tides.
He is a lovely fella, never as a bad word for anyone on this site :)
I think you’ll find that the knobheads and the gobshites are more or less the same population.
I told you that fishing lark was easy, Arky. Four or five here in one easy cast, is that the correct term? Does anyone know the collective term for gobshites?
A griffin of gobshites has a nice ring to it.
Besides, Martinez was in a different league to Coyle.
Listen to Lostock and Blueview, you might learn something, lad
Learn from anyone on this forum? I’ve said it until I’m, blue in the face – the people I respect/like on this forum I know personally and I reserve my discussions with them for when we meet face to face. The rest of you gobshites really don’t matter at all.
So why do you bother responding to posts, if you’re so superior ?
Getting close to the start of the season I see, all the knobheads seem to be crawling back out of the woodwork again. Deep joyIt seems, Lostock, that he has it in for all the “knobheads” as well (taken from the M-A Fortune thread). Maggot, magott, magggott, who gives a fck.Apparently Griff does.

You’re wasting your time. There are people on here who are clearly too thick to understand that.
Martinez never had to substantially increase the number of Championship players in order to cover the needs of a longer campaign.
Coyle’s activity in the transfer market is, by necessity, a totally different game to the one Martinez had to play in the Premier League. He seems to be making a decent fist of it mind, but a comparison between the two on this subject is, indeed, futile.
I hope you include yourself in that first statement.
Secondly, (and I wont try to impress anyone with bold – oops, writing) Martinez was never in the Championship and never suffered the same wholesale departure of players from the club. He also never saw any cup run as a part of a longer campaign.
Your only saving grace is your reluctant admission that Coyle’s activity is necessary and he is making a decent fist of it. Hang on, no, that’s a lie, you have no saving graces. Futility is just a look in the mirror.

Third thread that has gone down the tubes with puns and no credible discussion – pathetic
Come on then Mr Goole Town – “I’m the only one worth a wank on here because I’m an old twat and I call everybody ‘lad’ like a twat” – entertain and enthral us all because, so far, you’ve bored the shit out of me. ;)
Well that aint hard lad is it.
;)
What’s not hard, to bore me? You certainly seem to find it easy enough.
That’s because of your thresholds lad.
Never mind that, we’re all waiting for you to kick off your incredibly credible discussion
Calm down lad.
You should have done the hard of reading course instead of the assuming course when you completed your 3 day writing seminar.
Never mind eh? lad

Personally if I was to name my top 10 WAFC moments from the last 10 years then 6 are with Martinez at the helm.
Then you are not old enough lad, extend WAFC moments over the last 40 years and then see
Apologies for only being 26 and only watching us since 1994. However, when I sit my children down in x amount of years and teach them about WAFC then I would imagine that “We beat Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea and won the FA Cup against Man City” will be where my focus mainly lies as opposed to “I remember beating Chester 4-2”
Of course we have a history prior to the last decade but like it or not the last decade is the most prestigious and as I said, 6 of the top 10 things I’ll remember from it are with him at the helm. Similarly, there are a few from the decade previous that involved him as a player.
Don’t apologise for only being 26 lad, someone has to be. It’s just that, with age, I have seen a bit more and, to be honest, there were more memorable times previously. It’s a case of “you had to be there”. In 20 years time when your talking to your x kids them 6 you mentioned will be down to 1.
