Mario was probably one of our most classiest players ever. A certain Mr Gomez and more recently Mr Powell and a blast from the past Mr Jeff Wright should be placed up there with Mario.
Again compared with these guys Chimbonda was trash.Did you see him pay Donny lad, tickets were more than £20 then?
Mario & like Boycie were 100% effort & played for the shirt, for sure.. What Chimbonda lacked in loyalty & effort (at times) he more than made up for in skill. Love him or hate him the bloke was good to watch.
By the way, Boyce is my all time favourite so I’m not disrespecting him by any means.
You would have Boycie over Arry, Jimmy?. Cant go that far marrer. Boycie brilliant but Arry, Bainsey, De Zeeuw, Spider, Atherton, And many more from the back 4 over the years way ahead of Emerson. Great player and good lad who never disrespected the club like the Kermit did. All above had the greatest thing shit head didn’t CLASS.
All great players indeed nl, I wasn’t comparing ability, just favouritism. After all only Boyce has lifted the FA Cup for us
Its funny how we all see the game differently, thought they got out the blocks quicker and could have scored early on but didn’t. The game got scrappy and we coped well. The first half was one that both teams would have been happy going in level. They huffed and puffed without doing much we looked the better team in possession and the sending off finished the game. I saw nothing in Brentford that I didn’t see in Shelf Wed or Notts Forrest. Things didn’t go our way and we got nowt. If anyone wants to bet me that Brentford will finish above us I’ll take it. Powell had a poor game and still looked the best player on display.Thought Walton was terrific Jr and the fact he got motm says it all really. Sort of see what you mean about Brentford as both their goals were tap in, but as much as I disliked that Maupay (likes to dive) he was in the right place at the right time. We will be close to play offs come May i think and not forgetting we have four players out injured plus Grigg on the bench.
I thought reece was probably best outfield player today. Robinson did look tired and was struggling to get back.
Let’s hope you’re right about the six points this week Garswood. We seem to be better at home so every chance.
They are only antagonistic to those who perpetually carry a fucking great chip on their shoulder and refuse to move themselves out of the 1980s.The DW has empty seats every matchday, so seeing them for a rugby game is nothing new. Its too big for the support of either club who rent it. It’d be great to see 25000 there every week and plans to fill in the corners due to demand constantly exceeding supply, but its a fact that most of the folk of Wigan will not pay to watch live sport, and no matter how low you make the prices, they wont attend. If you don’t agree, then see how many extra are on there this coming Friday when its £10 a ticket.
As an aside, I was too busy watching the game yesterday to look at this thread. Although I note Egg was on here posting midway through the 2nd half. Maybe he was posting on three separate threads from the DW during a break in play – or maybe he didn’t go. Maybe he’s one of the 1700 who has snapped up a ticket for Preston, or maybe he’ll post his opinions of the game based on Wish FM and 2 minutes on Quest’s Saturday night.
Does that make him as bad as those who were in the pub?
Abusive language mutty..
Chip on their shoulder, this coming from a rugby fan that posts on a Wafc forum?Brentford are the best team we’ve played for a while not just this season. Worthy winners.
Thought Cook should have made changes at half time personally as we were totally outplayed in first half. Midfield had no ideas and playing wing backs that don’t get cover when going forward made it so easy for Brentford.

Wigan vs Warrington at the DW was on in the local tonight. A lot of empty seats in the DW I noticed, but the pub was quite busy with rugby fans..?
Odd how this antagonistic sunderland / Wigan rugby fan persistently comes on here with his innocently but yet obviously fishing posts…
We’ll sell this out no problem.
It definitely left a bad taste they way he left but that aside he remains one of the most exciting wing backs we’ve had at Wigan imo.
Another money making scheme from Uefa?
Clubs are already complaining about too much football being played but you can bet the lesser clubs will sign up to this just for the money.
Doubt they’ll change the format of the CL Egg as they’ll want as many of the BIG clubs they can in their prestige tournament.
Bobby certainly had a good night in Scotland last night. Only saw bits of the game but Scotland were no match for Belgium.
Well done indeed. Can’t understand why he doesn’t get a start must be better than lafferty.
I was just seeing what other clubs thought about it when I stumbled across this forum. If you scroll down you will notice the obligatory piss take out of our support!

Stumbled across this did you say fil.. Way back from 2010
Yeah, Googled ‘Music played after goals scored’ !
This bleeding tablet drops text from posts on occasions fil so when I clicked submit there was a smiley face and comment about their prawn sandwich brigade lot.
Ps, old Trafford could do with some music as their place was atmosphere free when we played them in the cup last time.
A big Irish club in a small Scottish Loch.
