That lad gets through more break up play than any other player… he does a lot of unnoticed work horc.
He ain’t a flair player, he’s a defensive mid which is why you don’t see him up front. Interesting how you pick him out for being shot shy when we have so called “flair” players who do absolutely jack s***.

Power, Jacobs and Macdonald out and Reece James in.

Why Macdonald?

Neil Warnock’s view of today…

Says we looked like we knew we are already down before kick off and just tried to frustrate…says it all really.

http://www.wigantoday.net/sport/football/latics/warnock-wigan-thought-they-were-already-down-1-8507178

Well he would say that vat… what did he contribute to today’s game????

Nothing more he would have liked other than send us down, revenge for 2007… his team were worse than us.

Get shut of Barrow asap….shocking let’s play safe set up…..Hanson…Tunnicliffe .What do we have to lose by going all out.Same shit under 3 manager’s….am I missing something?..Got exactly what we’ve deserved this season….rats/ship…now let’s see who starts the exodus. If they not happy in league 1 (where most of em Deserve to play after this season) then no negotiations,Just f@@@ em off .

Cannot believe we started with Tunicliffe, Obertan & Jacobs as our attacking three, shocking decision! First shot on target came on 82nd minute by me reckoning. How the hell does Jacobs keep getting picked? Teachers pet no doubt..
Agree with you mr b, complete change required to sort this inept mess out…..

we’ve suffered some crap this season..

I can’t believe we are bringing in loanies on a contract that stipulates they have to play…
Spoke to a Stoke fan when we signed Haaguard and he said he was prone to the odd clanger… Our scouts are obviously not doing their job properly.

Way i see it young sharpy is only a puppet and his grandad still pulls the strings but the way club is being run and way fans have been treated is well above a joke and disbelief

How do you work that one out? Cheap season tickets, ticket subsidies for FA Cup games?

Sharpy is young and has made mistakes and no doubt will make a few more. His grandad chopped and changed a few in his early years, granted they didn’t turn out as bad as his Grandsons..

But the last thing this club needs is more change so i for one hope he stays. As long as he learns from these mistakes we should be ok in the future.
Close season transfer activity will give a good indication on if he’s learned from his mistakes!

If we have any remote chance of staying up Matt Gilks must play. If we have to pay Stoke for that clown to play then pay them or send him back. He and Bogdan have cost us serious points this year

Whoever is in charge of our loan transfer dealings needs to to go. Cannot believe we are bringing in loan players who are contracted to play? Gilkes has been fantastic, the other two have been embarrassingly bad.

Nope, stayed till the very end JR.

Looked at the score board on 69 minutes & thought jesus there’s another 20minutes of this dross…. :woohoo:

No….not for faint hearted….especially with some of the most feeble goalkeeping displays from both keepers I’ve seen for a while.

Haugaard was terrible last night. We were lucky with that goal being disallowed. Thought it was bad play on his part personally.

As for the tackles, it was like football was 30yrs ago when you could tackle. Not too many bad ones though?

Not such a bad signing by Caldwell after all ;)

Just watched the highlights on Sky App thingy. That free kick didn’t half move in the air..thought it did in real time from where I was sitting.

As impressed with him as I was last night i’ll wait till end of season before changing my opinion of him. If he carries on playing like that then he will turn out to be a good signing. That is by far his best game for us that I can recall.

Was that the quickest hatrick ever scored by a latics player?

This took some thinking horc…… Will Griggs last minute goal against Wolves, that’s about it for on the pitch matters. Got to a Couple of new grounds this season!

we might be only 1 point from safety…

It’s not inconceivable, but how many times have i thought along the same lines this season!!!

Barnsley’s record is similar to ours, won only 2 in the last ten. So there is a slim chance we can pick something up.

Brighton, well if they win at Wolves & other results go their way they are as good as promoted. Maybe they’ll go on the pop all weekend and be off pace Monday & we scap a win!!!! (and no i haven’t been drinking)

Too much to wish for in my opinion
Brighton like any other club would prefer to go up as champions!
I know filmos, I was being a tad sarcastic. I hope they do too rather than the geordies.

We need someone who knows League One and how to get out of it, whilst bringing through youth.

Nigel Adkins would be an ideal appointment.

I used to think the same Pie but speaking to a couple of Sheff Utd fans they didn’t rate him at all.
He’d drop a player from the team who had a good game the previous week. Play players out of position, and they could never really tell what formation he had out… Sounds a bit familiar to me.

Just watched the highlights of the Newcastle game and their second goal shouldn’t have stood for me. One of their players was off side & stood right in front of Gilkes when the first shot came in, blocking his view… Terrible decision but suppose that’s the way it goes when you’re down there.
