The price of a ticket really does peeve me especially with the size of their crowds. Circa 3m in gate receipts is obscene but it doesn’t seem to put off their fans.
Bonanza day for our club which i’m made up for them as we will need this money. But as a fan i’m miffed we drew them as that will probably be the end of our cup run… I’ll still be there though, begrudgingly!
A lot of our FA cup home games have poor crowds, Wigan public don’t seem to back their team
I always prefer away games it does away with this .
This keeper from Stoke looks good jr. He didn’t have a lot to do today but looked comfortable coming for crosses, and saved a pen…
I hopo so he was fantastic today. Makes a huge difference in midfield with him in it. Brings a balance to the team we haven’t see for a long while.
It wouldn’t be business like to say that.:) …. And was that a little pun in your first post Donny….
He certainly knows how to score a goal, but it is a big step up?
The way we are playing at the moment wouldn’t suit many strikers I feel. We just don’t give them the service so he’s probably struggle with us?I personally do not think we are poor. The thing is, we are nearly there – just lacking something at the moment, which happens to be in the final third. Unless i’m mistaken, we have not been battered this season by any team & the defeats we have had, have frustratingly been by a single goal.I’ve been saying the same myself Runcorn but I’m getting sick of thinking after every match the same thing. Another crap team have gone away with all 3 points…… So I’m beginning to think we are..
Confidence is the issue now more than anything else. We just need to nick a win and who knows?
Ipswich fan said to me this morning that they had put an offer in for him which Wigan turned down. Sounds like there is a bit of interest out there for him.
If we utilised him in the way we did last season then I’d keep him. On current form he can go.
Why would we even want this fella. He’s a bad apple that is over hyped & over rated… Steer clear for me.
Seems crazy that with such a positive line up why Grigg was all over the Wigan half searching for the ball. No midfielder played any decent killer balls out wide or to Grigg and none of the midfield could break out of the midfield and pressurise the Terriers defence. All too slow and static. Saying that Powell did work hard and hopefully if there isn’t a fire sale he could make a difference.Fair to say Grigg was deep at times and worked hard that way. But for me he wasn’t giving 100% in the striker role. 2 or 3 times in the first half we broke with nobody in the box, Grigg was jogging forward? Think he is definitely sulking about something.
He was No.10 for them Donny, big bald fella in midfield.
You’re probably right donny. Good following from Huddersfield if them numbers are correct.
Such a shame for him and especially his family.. thought he was a great player for us, 100% every time.
That was a great point today and hopefully a confidence booster for the rest of the season. Let’s hope our crowd turn up in big numbers on Monday to see us get the three points
They’ll probably not play counter attack footy at their place so might look better. They’re the second highest points earners since mclaren came back so will be tough. Macdonald is back for us which is good and the line up looks positive..
