I’m not as confident about such a large winning margin but we should win. Slovenia beat Slovakia at home by the same score line as us so the game could be won by the odd goal.
Knowing us it will be a tight affair? Can’t understand why Oysten hasn’t sold up yet because he must be the most hated football chairman in England. No prem money anymore so he can’t be coining it in. Wouldn’t any normal person say enough is enough and move on?
What a shame, quite scary how this problem seems to be so prominent in modern day football?
Two great stand out games for me with Charlie, West Ham & Arsenal :woohoo: Great player on his day.
Each to their own, but everybody’s circumstances are different. It would cost me £75 to go with my two, absolutely no chance! Football is / should be about the fans, and £35 is far too much to watch a game of footy.
Listening to it on Wish today and it was a pretty exciting 0 – 0 draw. BBC stats say both teams only had two shots on target.
Brentford sounded like they were doing most of the pressing but you’d expect that from the home club.Defo, not lost at home so far Brentford and are half a decent side. Good point.
To be honest im fuming at this.WTF gives some newspaper the right to see the English National Manager lose his job, just as we have someone of our own nationality and a belly full of fire.
I don’t particularly like the guy due to his past links, however I think he would have given this England team the kick up the arse they need and looked forward to seeing what he could do.
The paper clearly knew that as a result of their “undercover” operation that he would lose his job – what a great example of how to do your job well, by getting someone else the sack by setting them up behind their back.
Why do this now, knowing he has only just started ?
To me, is just pure evil and I actually do feel sorry for the guy, all he has done has offered his opinion and advice, he has not been paid and has spoken just like I would to someone when not in the office.
He has been an idiot yes, naïve yes, but deserve the sack ? No ..
Has anyone condemned the newspaper for their behavior ?
Couldn’t agree more crammy, British press at their worst, again… After what they’ve been upto lately and got away with!
Given the possession we have the low number of chances we create has to be a worry. Surely if you have the ball twice as much as the opposition you should be creating more chances if your strategies beating fruit? Felt Sorry for Yanic as he constantly has 2-3 men marking him when he gets the ball. Still. A wins a win. This squad has enough decent players to avoid being in the bottom 3 all season that’s for sure.I’ve said the same Roy, with no one to play off him as well and stuck on the left wing.
This team defo has the ability to finish at mid table at least.
Odd game I thought, two average teams in the first half but both played better in the second half. Think we created Wolves best chances!
Interesting to see our winning goal came from a long punt up field…. Not beautiful, but affective when required.
Overall I’m not so sure they can complain too much?
Paul Jewell (football) – Former Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday, Wigan, Derby and Ipswich manager celebrates his 52nd birthday.Happy Birthday to possibly the best Manager we have had.
Couldn’t agree more Egg, let’s hope he’s having a good one. What’s he upto now?
Winter break is being strongly opposed as is the FA Cup being mover to midweek.I can see the benefit of a 38 game season, both financial and for the International teams. It would bring us in line with the rest of Europe as well.
Jayt, don’t you know, we are leaving Europe, so no need to align ourselves…. :)
OK then ……the league table does lie !!! 5 defeats in 1st 8……average signings…pointless bench warming signings…..Morsey…Colclough( who by the way smacks in a hat trick today ) .Deemed not up to it after GC waxed lyrical about how he was thrilled to get them in January after tracking them for ages.Hope GC given more time but don’t be fooled by David Sharpes youthfulness…..he will open the trap door sooner rather than later if the losing trend continues.Signings are an issue for me too mr.b, personally don’t think he’s bought well… You buy a player to suit a certain position, not to then play them in an unfamiliar position?
GC seems to have been like Kid in a sweet shop and bought so many he’s now confused himself.
There are already similarities with two seasons back, losing to poor teams. Preston and QPR were crap but still beat us, Fulham were very average and got a point.
Too much passing and nowhere near enough shooting. And we need more bodies in the box when getting forward. This team is more than capable of holding their own in this league, GC has just got to get it sorted.People going on about bad signings but not one mention about how bad power as been this seasonHis form dipped at the end of last season pskl, think it all went to his head. he contributed nothing last night.
Find something quickly, or else the missus will definitely find you something to do..
