Calamity Ali
Can’t be there as also on holiday, gutted really. Being successful does have it’s downside ah, too many trips to Wembley!!
Taken Take from his twitter account:Respecto a la preguntas que me están haciendo, por mucho mucho menos del valor que dice transfermarket, se puede hacer la transferencia
Ok so it is the ropiest translation ever but here goes:
With regard to the questions that are rising me, for much much less of the value that he says transfer market, it is possible to do the transfer.
Personally I would like to keep him as I think he always lacked clear cut chances under Roberto.
I’d have him back, would like to see him have a decent run in the team as i can’t see him being any worse than Di Santo? He might surprise a few people?
Not being able to log on could be seen as a good thing :) Not so sure about the GL, quickly got bored at work and eneded up actually working :silly:
Well whatever you have done has worked for my CL… Not been able to log on since cup final eve.. All ok now though :cheer:
Bit harsh Egg. I read yesterday that Stam has a possible broken leg. I know the club were awaiting confirmation on the scan results & I haven’t seen an update on this.
Jason Roberts HAD a broken leg when we beat Reading and played on
In fairness there’s a broken leg and then there’s a broken leg, when I did mine my foot ended up pointing backwards, now that was a broken leg!
I’m aware of that and am basing it on Stam being able to stand and walk off.
My initial impression was the same Egg, saw him walking on the touchline and thought he was not prepared to his all for the team?
When Figs did his groin against Spurs it looked bad to me on first glimpse but he carried on. Granted he went off but he give it a go.
I’d love to think we could make it a clean sweep of away wins in the cup with a 2-1 win…. But with no defence, i just can’t see it happening?
Gary Caldwell ‘gets’ the way Roberto wants to play as much if not more than any other player we have. Okay, he’s prone to the odd Bramblesque balls up and lacks a bit of pace but he’s also capable of nicking a goal or making a killer pass, like the other night. And, most importantly, he’s in blue and white and we should all be behind him.Scharner’s the one that makes me have kittens when he’s passing it around the back
Well said, and you can guarantee Caldwell will always give 100% effort. He’s been made a scapegoat for Tuesdays performance.
Scharner is trying to cover too much ground for me which is putting undue pressure on an already fragile defenceI thought Roger had a half decent game considering he was slightly out of position. None of the glaring errors were his and he scored a cracking goal.
You didn’t watch the same game then. He was shocking last night and played a part in two goals conceded. Headless chicken springs to mind!!
I dont know what game you were watching Jimmy but from what I saw he scored , was crossing the ball in comfortably on his left foot, made a couple of decent tackles and even beat a man to a header.
Judging off the above alone and providing he can continue to hit a decent cross now and then he has already gone way above Jeany B in my estimations.
Some of your comments above gave me a chuckle
Yes he did score so hats off to him for that…. but that was the only thing he did all night, other than one good cross into the box that i can recall. No quality about him what so ever. IMO!
Each to their own i suppose..

Fair to say Caldwell did not play well but he was not the worst player on the pitch, and that pass for our second goal was fantastic!
As a group the defence was poor and that includes Robles, i think he played a part early in the game in unsettling our defence. Espinoza doesn’t get a mention but what the fook was he trying to do for Swanseas third goal?Yes, this is Wigan Athletic and it wouldn’t surprise me if you were right !
Afterall, there’s nowt to lose on Saturday; just play with freedom, sneak a win ( my prediction is 1-0 with either Gomez or Scharner scoring )against all odds ! Then a resurgent Latics goes on to stay up ! That would be proper Boys Own / Roy of the Rovers Stuff !
I’M all for that how much would that piss folk off not only in our own town but the country media goodpost goodpost
Why our own town? you having a pop again at fans that know their stuff? Our biggest problem is ourselves this season as we consistently give soft goals away. Fringe players are poor as was on show last night.
Most fans on here want us to stay up but but are realistic. We got away with poor defending against West Brom but not last night.Do we only start playing when we go behind,? discuss. :huh:It’s a trait of Bob’s me thinks. He is very predictable, just as every season we play our best stuff in the last ten games or so.
I’d think it might be a good idea to give them a call… I ordered two online on Weds and got them Friday… Great service
That will be played in the car a fair bit on the way down to Wembley…!!!
Three points on Tuesday could well set up a surprise FA Cup final result :woohoo:
