Looks like we might be barking up the wrong tree.

I thought it had been made public that Powell and McClean have been suspended for comments on twitter regarding playing time or lack of it. Apparently Shotton now back at Stoke, is also in the same boat.

It’s easy guys, if you want to increase playing time, then put some effort in when you get the chance, particularly Powell. He struts around like he is owed the right to do what he wants, bollucks to the rest of the team and Wigan Athletic.

The title of this post is 100% bob on!

How does everyone recommend that we tinker on Saturday, now that we are safely in the play offs ?

That’s easy Papa, we just say ” Lets recommend that we tinker on Saturday, now that we are safely in the play offs”

Everton will not play champions league Football, next season or the 3 seasons following.

Great article that you posted the link to in your previous post. It says Everton will sign Callum McManaman along with McCarthy and I’m sure he’s still playing for us. I suggest you copy and paste that link and send it to the author Mike Whalley.

Oh and I hope Everton get relegated.

I think connections from both Mersey-side clubs are far too over optimistic of where they will finish in the EP league this season. I really do think that both sets of supporters are totally deluded, if they feel their teams are good enough for CL football.
My prediction; Liverpool 8th, Everton 14th.

I see. If you hate David Moyes, then you must hate Roberto Martinez even more.

I thought you were a great admirer of David Moyes – you never thought that Roberto would be able to match his achievements at Everton. And you were confident that he would succeed at United too.

Yet Roberto has won more points this year with Everton than David Moyes did in 2007/08. That was before Sheik Mansour took over Manchester City and turned them into the richest team in the world. So Roberto has had to compete with one more top team, not one less.

How do you feel about Brendan Rogers?[/quote]

I think you’ve got the wrong poster buddy, never been an admirer of Moyes, probably due to the Northend connection.
I have to admit, although I don’t hate Martinez, I want him to fail at Everton and so far he’s not moved the club any further than where Mr Moyes had um.

Brendon Rogers has done well at Liverpool, much better than I thought he would do. If we all could predict how a season is going to pan out, we would be millionaires. That’s why its tickling me the way you search for old posts just to prove that I got my prediction wrong.

Under Roberto Martinez, Everton have gained 69 points so far this season, exceeding their Premiership League record of 65 set in 2007/08.

Seamus Coleman has been included in the PFA Team of the Year.

David Moyes has been breaking records at Manchester United too.

For the first time since 1989/90, there are no Manchester United players in the PFA Team of the Year.

You’ve just hit the nail on the head why Everton have got more points than previous years. Man utd have had a shocking season by their standards, so have a few other teams.
However, points don’t mean prizes I’m afraid. If you finish 18th on 45 points you still get relegated, if you finish 4th with 69 points you still get champs league place. So your point is?

By the way I hate David Moyes and don’t give a shyte about Man U, so your point again is?

Something for all our keen Everton followers – you know who you are – to consider.

Everton are at home to Manchester City on Saturday – what should Roberto do?
Win and hope for fourth place – but help Liverpool to the title.
Lose and settle for the Europa League – and help Manchester City to the title.

I say go for the win!

Arsenal play Newcastle tonight. Arsenal and Chelsea play next Sunday, and Liverpool on Monday.

He will obviously go all out to win, but I suspect man city will do the same. Europa league place for Everton I’m afraid. BK will not be that chuffed, he was promised champs League by the iPad king and yes, this season.

Your mate Moysie is now on holiday in Florida, I’m told. I’m surprised you’re not with him. It’s a pity he couldn’t get Manchester United near to a Champions League place.

There are lots more pearls on Bottom Four Bob. Here’s another one – your prediction of the top four.

It’s not all about shot stopping its also about commanding the box and distributing the ball. You’ve just proved a point Bigroy that eveyone remembrers the great save but can’t recall the blunders that could have cost you a goal but didn’t.
We were 2-0 down yesterday yet Ali kicked the ball direct into touch at least 5 times in the last 15 mins or so. He stayed on his line on numerous occasions when it was easier and necessary for him to move a couple of yards and catch the ball. He has started this stupid two fisted punch save again when he should be clodding his cap on the ball and collecting it with ease.

He is without doubt one of the best shot stoppers in this league and even the prem in my view, however the rest of his game at times is shocking.

They [Burnley] won’t last more than one season in the Prem. That hoof football is bleedin awful to watch. The first goal they scored was top draw, both in build up and finish, the other 89 minutes was the worst game, in football terms, that I’ve seen all season.

Why all the over physical stuff [he should have gone for that elbow on Boycie and several others should have been carded].
The referee took the easy option every time their crowd claimed a free kick, it was embarrassing at times.

I have seen Burnley live twice this season and both times they have failed to impress me, its not sour grapes its just how I see it.

Well done for getting promoted, its great to see a fellow NW team reach the promise land, but I’m afraid at least 7 or 8 of that team are not premiership class.

I don’t think we were the boys today, we were just trying to play football when the other team wern’t.

Burnley obviously deserve to be were they are in the league, however, they have had more than their fair share of luck with injuries, being able to field their strongest team all season. The first time injuries struck to their key players, the wins drastically reduced. [Ings and Vokes being the main crocks]

They have also scavenged a load of 1-0 wins in games that could have swung either way.

If only Uwe had been with us all season, I think Burnley may have had to be content with the play offs. :(
