I think all our fans should read the link below and then honestly re-evaluate our position. I suspect a large number of us don’t actually realise how good we have got it. Come on, even so called “darksiders” lets all pull together for one last push. It’s not doing anybody any good slagging the club off left, right and centre.
The problem is if our club ever did go down that route, the DS would have a go at the tax men for being clueless about dealing with wind ups.

What a journey! The DS however are playing the same old record day after fekin day and nobody who matters is listeningOne of my rare post’s the other day mentioned exactly the same thing. mate.
Blah, blah, fckin blah.
and some cants on here call fishing boring.
No fishing is what bored people do when they are bored of being bored.
Get yer pole and bob leads round that one matey! :ohmy:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Your post bears no resemblence whatsoever to mine,it is purely an exercise in name calling because you cannot accept my point of view.
It’s not about who’s right or who is better – I am simply putting forward an opinion as to what is better for Wigan Athletic.
To keep it simple so that you dont end up going completely off track, I’ll just ask you one question:
What constructive benefit do Wigan Athletic get from people like you coming on here and continually slagging the manager off?
About the same benefit as we get from you sticking up for him.
The difference is the DS never change their tune and are always the first to make negative comments for other people, mainly the LS to challenge.
Even though I support Martinez and what he is trying to achieve to the hilt, I do not wish to come on here day after day starting threads about how well he’s doing and everyone should get behind him.
The DS however are playing the same old record day after fekin day and nobody who matters is listening.
I still say that there should be a dedicated thread for the DS to spit out their blurb and if any of the LS want to engage with them, then its up to them.
What we have now is the odd sensible debate cropping up only to be high jacked by someone having a go at Martinez and Whelan and suddenly its DS v LS again.
I don’t know what I’m dreading the most a Bolton victory, or the usual fekin suspects coming on here with their Victor Meldrew like rants within a minute of the final whistle. B)From Matlock to ManU

What a journey! With average crowds up by 10,000 compared to 10 years ago I wonder where all the others came from then !!
The big point here is that all ten thousand of them aren`t acting the Billy Big Potatoes on here and if they were i`d answer them the same way. Nor do they sit by their computer instead of going to games thinking they are Mr Know It All straight after the game. One thing about Martinez is that at the beginning of the season he was offered the Villa job, a bigger club and probably a bigger wage but he turned it down. He showed his loyalty and love for the club. You on the other hand are thinking of refusing to part with just over 200 quid next season if he is still around.
Says a lot in my book.
Cawnt shell out the money you get for just 5 hours work on a season ticket, bloody rubbish Filmoss.! :P

What a journey! How am I not surprised by that post. Now the lightsiders discuss tactics and selection “with someone from the club before KO” and they told you “Diame wasn’t starting due to feeling ill that morning” I assume that same person then rushed to tell you Diame “apparently was improving as KO approached” just so you could post it on here if one of those nasty darksiders dared to question why he didnt play.
If you hurry up nominations for this years Whitbread prize are still open.
Think what you want sunshine I don’t give a shiny shyte if you believe me or not. I get quite a few snippets of information from sitting directly to the side of the tunnel. I’ve even made friends with our old pal Phil Dowd when he has been the fourth official.
I’ve just checked the text I sent to my lad who sits in the East Stand and it was sent at 2.07pm telling him what the team was and the bit about Diame. I was given all the information at the same time you thick wazzuk, team sheets have to be in by 2pm.
It would have been about that time you was planning what to post on this site pending our 4 or 5 goal thrashing by Everton. B)From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! Is option 2 any good for him or our club? Don’t think so.
As someone previously posted, look at how Zog played for the last 10 games or so, he surely was putting himself in the shop window.
Hugo has 14 games to show to all his respective employers that he’s worth investing in.
If you’ve ever played football you will also know that taking things easy and going into challenges half heartedly, usually results in you getting injured rather than avoiding getting crocked. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I would prefer to see Hugo helping our cause than QPR or Fulham’s. I’m sure he’ll get plenty of action on the field between now and the end of season. He looked quite sharp when coming on and may have sealed the win if Victor had chosen a simple 10 yard pass to him rather than try and take on the two defenders.
His reaction to that passage of play made me feel he was still hungry for goals and wants to help his team win games.
Its no good our club having £4m in their back jacks, losing our leading goalscorer for the past 2-3 seasons and having no replacement. :ohmy:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! Was talking to someone from the club before KO and they told me that Diame wasn’t starting due to feeling ill that morning. He was consequently put on the bench and apparently was improving as KO approached. If you took notice, the players had been out warming up a good 10-15 mins before Diame came out and then only did some light work.
Bobby was probably hoping that he might be OK to get a 20 to 30 mins out of him, but as the match progressed, he must have thought it best not to risk him. :sick:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Griff – we used to be able to attract that calibre of player (Arry, Henchoz, Scharner, Bramble, hell even Mario) so why not now if we can afford the aforementioned winger?.
Because, in those days, in relative terms, we used to pay closer to or even above, the going rate for player wages which is all that really matters when it comes to attracting players. We paid Bramble £40k per week and Scharner £35k.
We won’t pay anything like that these days. Why do you think that Championship players like Mariappa and Maynard choose not to come? Mainly because they can earn more elsewhere. Simple really, can’t see why people struggle to get it.
Griff Captain Caldwell is getting £25,000 and Bosselli was supposed to be on £35,000 so I’m afraid your arguement falls down. The reason we can’t get players in is that Bob is taking us down and why would a Championship player come up to the Premiership for 3 months???
Probably because 3 months in the prem is better than years in the championship. Nicky Maynard for example may get the chance with Wet Spam, but then again they might blow it and fall at the last fence. He may then be wishing he’d sampled the prem even if it was for just 16-17 games.
But then again he might be one of those players who are happy to just pick up the big pay packet every week and slog it out with the likes of Barnsley, Peterboro’ and Doncaster. :dry:From Matlock to ManU

What a journey! The very fact that some of our “fans” have felt the need to trawl through other teams message boards to look for more negatives about Bobby and our club just takes the biscuit.
Just because LMB is too embarrassed to pen his own relegation song this year, he has resorted to letting one of our bitterest rival clubs do it for him.
Then he tries to convince us that he was looking at it from a balanced view.
Just ask yourself LMB if every post on that thread and not just 50% of them, had said something positive about Bobby would you have wet your pants and posted the link?Shakes my head in total disbelief.

When the person who has back to back desks with you spends all his day on that site, instead of doing a little work now and then, points out a thread about the team I support I tend to take a look, if you did something that seems to be alien to your make up and read it, I think you may find more complimentary remarks about WAFC than derogatory ones, in fact I can only see 2 that says anything against martinez but once again from you , why let facts get in the way of the bittereness that eminates from your direction.
What reaction do you expect, being that 99.9% of stuff you blurb on here is anti Martinez.
I think you and a few other staunch members of the DS have been stereotyped whether you like it or not.I also noticed that you eventually highlighted one of the “derogatory” posts in red and backed it up by saying that about sums it up.
Hey but once again from you , why let facts get in the way of the bittereness that eminates from your direction

What a journey!i think the towel was thrown in when heskey and palacios where sold
if we had kept those and further strengthened the team it might have been a differant situation now
with crowds well over the 20k
instead the team was ripped apart and weakened every season after destroying what growing support we had and started the decline we now see
the final act will be the sale of the stadium to the warriors that is a certIf anybody’s gonna be thrown out of the stadium it will be the chubsters mate. They better hope that the new Latics chairman when he or she arrives, has the same affinity for the lodgers as DW, or they’ll be off to orrell.
By the way, the only people to have thrown the towel in, is the fickle Martinez out brigade on here.
