The only difference between Power and Emyr Huws was Huws was good enough to get another club. I believe Huws was given the boo treatment by nearly all the Latics fans.
I’m never going to boo but I am not very pleased with the fact that Power wanted to turn his back on our club, agents advice or no agents advice in the end it’s he’s decision. I totally agree that Power is not good enough at the moment to get into the starting 11.
By the way Dave, booing a player or threatening to turn your back on the entire team by throwing your season ticket away? I’d keep my gob shut if I was you pal. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! He is a really decent guy SM. Asked him how he was doing at the Southport pre season game and he had a long chat with me and thanked me for asking.

What a journey! It’s for a bottle I was told so not far off 4 dabs for a pint.

What a journey!I would like to think it’s down to Cooky George, but like Power I think league one is his level.

What a journey! What do want for a fiver? I was more concerned with the price of a pint, bloody ridiculous at £4.50.
I can understand those prices at corporate events were you generally get ripped off, but at a beam back with your ordinary fan, get it sorted.Getting back to the back g screens, the person at the other end needs to stop zooming in. You get to see about a 20m circle round the ball and nothing else. Please in future zoom out and let’s see the moves develop.

What a journey!I am not condoning what Coco did but it had no bearing on the result of the game whatsoever. Cookies focus must be on what actually takes place on the pitch. Having said that I would sooner have our players showing over exuberance passion for our club, than putting their arm around opposition players having a laugh and joke as they exit the pitch when they have just took 3 nurps off us.
The lad is still learning and the club will take the necessary action. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Got beat by a bloody good team today. Extremely hard working and lots of quality. Too many players didn’t perform for us but, I won’t take anything away from Shrewsbury, well worth their 3 points.
We will just have to bounce back on Tuesday and tell Powell and a few others to stop the Johnny Big Bollux stuff. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! They are top of their league and will make it to the finals. That was his objective and it’s job done. I didn’t bother watching the game as I lost interest ages ago. It’s all about results not performance. Nobody will remember the good performances by Northern Ireland or Scotland in the Group stages come the finals when they are not there.
Well done Gareth and good luck in the games to come. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Probably the worse transfer window I can remember slash the wage bill and about £2million banked.
Lang should have been stuck on the bench and Grigg unloaded especially with his contract up next summer.
Gilbey gone ?, gotta be a personal thing,Lang will probably get a bag full at Morecambe then we’ll flog him rather than use him
“He’s one of our own” song is the kiss of death for our youngsters, hear that and your offWorst transfer window? Yer having a laugh. I never expected that all 11 players who have been PC’s starting 11, are still here come September 1. As for Gilby, he wanted more playing time and PC couldn’t guarantee it. The team has started very well so why change it cos one player wants to take the place of someone who is playing well. If you’ve been watching Gilby this season ok he’s not had much playing time but when he has, he doesn’t look the player he was before picking up his injury. Looks like PC’s had no choice but to let him leave. As for he young players that have been loaned out, let’s hope they do play well and get lots of goals and MOM performances, that’s what is hoped when you loan players. This has been an unbelievable window for us and one that is making me put my mortgage on us winning this league

What a journey!Luke Burke too. P.C. must have another couple of owd codger drinking buddy defenders lined up or some loaner defenders.
At least no first teamers gone but these two were cover so you must be right. So with daniels & burke gone out on loan, who covers byrne should he get injured.
Byrne has already gone to Oldham on loan, I take it you mean Burn.
Morgan is injured, Dunkley suspended and young Stubbs has gone to Crewe, so we are as short at the back as we are up front.
There is a rumour going around that Alex Bruce may be coming back, but I’m not sure how true that is.
I think he means Nathan Byrne the right back.

What a journey! What’s all this about, was there another match on yesterday besides the footy games, test match and the woman’s rugby union final?

What a journey! Was on holiday in Feuerteventura a couple of years back and was supping in the Flower of Scotland, it was awash with green and white hoops as Celtic was playing um.

What a journey! Can I come at this from adifferent angle chaps? I’ve made my views known on this, many times before, but nothing has changed.
My vote goes strongly for the safe standing option. Nothing to do do with satisfying those who would prefer to stand, but to give the young kids and us owd uns a chance to see the game.
My young grandkid has lost total interest in watching Latics away, because on most occasions, he just looks at the persons back who is standing in front of him. I’ve took him to various grounds and he’s had to stand on the seat for a period then eventually he sits down saying his legs / feet are aching. The same applies to vertically challenged people and those elderley fans who have dodgy backs and hips.
We are supposed to be the family club Jason, but we are discouraging our youngsters from watching the team away. Please pass this message onto the club and dont be fobbed off with “its out of our hands”, no it’s not. All tickets are issued from the stadium unless the demand is such that there are plenty tickets left and it’s pay on the day, just like Oldham.
I can’t remember what club it was, it may have been Doncaster, but as you walked in the stewards where directing those fans who wanted to stand to the last 15 rows or so, thus resulting in a sit down zone for families etc.
If the club say the home team dictate the selling order, then fine, they can sell starting from the block they have been told tom sell first, if there are 30 rows, allocate say the back 20 rows to standing and the first 10 to sitting. If they say its not practicable, then me and a few mates will spend a few hours every fortnight sorting them out for um.
It’s not a criminal offence to stand at an all seater football stadiums, but it does contravene 99% of the various grounds rules. I’m not for getting fans thrown out, there is absolutely no need for that, but let’s make things fair for all.

What a journey! That’s exactly how they played last week at MK Dons. I think Cooky will play the same way home and away and not get too worked up about the opposition. I like the way it was left back out suspended left back in. None of this making 3-4 changes to cover one man out. We look so organised from the off, the balance of the team is right and I like the way we celebrate a goal. All outfield players gather in a huddle. The bonding session abroad seems to have worked despite some moaners on here being critical of what Cooky had done. We’ve hit the ground running but it’s a marathon not a sprint. I agree with the comment that this is the best looking squad for years, I would say it’s the best since being relegated from the Prem. Interestingly, would Bogle or Power get in this team?

What a journey!A Latics win if we press the Bury defence like at MK Don’s.
A draw if we play the type of football we did against Blackpool.Woooooooh Donny, that was a different 11, nothing to do with the type of football played it was the standard of players on the frield, plus we still won it. :cheer:
