What a journey!Perkins is a fantastic lad with a heart as big as a lion however shaun has qualities that are premier league standard.
No disrespect but I’d have shaun back tomorrow just for that quality. My post was tongue in cheek Vince.

What a journey! As per usual I’ve been and have arguably witnessed the best home display in 5 seasons. :cheer:
Hope nobody takes the shine of it by saying it was only Scunthorpe, they would have beaten anybody tonight.
For the two up front brigade you got your wishes with a very strong 3-5-2 formation.
I also had to hold my hands up to my mate and admit Craig Davies was outstanding and pushing for the MOM along with the other 10 players.Perhaps a certain friend of ours at CL gracing the pitch before KO may have given us the luck we needed. ;)
Well done GC, well done players, well done DS, lets hope this gives us the confidence to go on a decent run.

What a journey!Shite again. Hardly any goal threat, dodgy defence, hesistant keeper, 33-1 odds on relegation looks a great price.
As low as 2-1 for promotion? The bookies seem to have no fucking idea! Bet Victor still offering 33’s for the drop if you fancy a flutter!
Can I explain how this betting malarkey works Fil?
The bookies odds are based on 46 games, not 2, you also never see skint bookies, so yes they do have fekin clue.
Let’s reserve any serious judgement for when the season is in full swing and GC knows his best starting 11.
Today’s match saw more partnerships building, there was some great link up play in all parts of the pitch. Chances were created, but it just isn’t happening yet. Once GC stops this suicidal at times, short ball from the keeper and gets it punted up field,we will start to win games I’m sure. It’s better to be challenging for seconds in the opposition half of the field, than being closed down in our own third.
Today I was impressed with Jacobs[again], James [best game so far], Kenny, Junior, Power, Perkins and Grigg. The negatives were O’Connell [when is he going to come off his line to collect a corner / cross], Morgan and Barnett.Far too early to right um off and far to early to think they will challenge for promotion.
You said something similar last season to me and I picked up a cool £450 ! Kerching!!We know you loved Bobby and his footballing ethos but it won’t work in League One! If you think 2-1 is a fair price for promotion then you my friend are more deluded than I thought!
Whatever happened last season has gone, its all about this year. So lets get this right, you firmly believe we are not good enough for promotion from watching two league games and a cup game? You probably didn’t go to coventry so its just the one league game.
I doff my cap off to you Fil, oh mighty fortune teller. how much are you in profit over the past 3-4 seasons?

What a journey! There was a guy on our bench last night wearing a top the same as what Barrow and Pollitt were wearing. I think his initial was GP.
I recognised his face as a footballer from the past, maybe Preston or Notts Forrest, anyone know who it was?
Was it JP maybe marrer?
Don’t think so, he was not around last season that’s for sure [as SB would say]

What a journey! The ‘Blind Faith’ I referred to was one of accepting anything thrown at us instead of protesting against certain decisions the club has made and they have made some fuckin howlers of late! I really do believe that the Malky Mackay business had a terrible adverse effect on the club and it was the decision to bring him to the club that was the final nail in our coffin in my humble opinion! Some of us spoke out about our concerns but the ‘Blind Faith’ told us to get behind the club and stop fucking moaning! Had we protested against the appointment of Mackay maybe we could have prevented that second drop! So therefore ‘Blind Faith’ or ‘Silent Majority’ isn’t necessarily a good thing. This sorry state of affairs could and should have been prevented!OK we heard you the first time, second time, third time, fourth time etc et fekin cetra, let’s all try and move on, we are one game into a long campaign so let’s give the manager and chairman a chance. A new campaign a new challenge, this is what football is all about and why it’s the best supported sport in the world. You keep harping on about dwindling crowds yet we took 2, 500 on Saturday and all looked in good spirits. Not once did I or the other members of the gang I went with, talked about smashing this league. We were all excited and feeling a bit apprehensive for what is in store. If you don’t get the past few seasons out of your system and quick, I really will genuinely feel sorry for you and others in your mould.

What a journey! Not all doom and gloom yesterday having had time to reflect.
We looked quite comfortable on the ball, but has some have said already, the build up was too slow and predictable. When we did inject a bit of pace from back to front, we looked threatening.
The other good sign for me was that GC had a plan B. Within minutes of starting the second half, he made a double substitution, one being Davies who gave us more of a direct approach.
Verdict: not the best of starts, but one that GC will have learned a great deal from.
One change for me would definitely be McNaughton in for Kenney. That owd head with young legs still, should be in the starting 11.From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Coventry finished 17th in this league last year, they have also made wholesale changes, so its not just us who needs to gel. I thought we gelled superb at Blackburn last week. It was only the first half that mattered, as the second half was 3 on 3 off, 2 on 2 off etc etc.
