Funny how quiet it is when there’s nowt to moan at.
It’s great. Well done Tics, let’s hope there will be many more quiet Saturday nights.
Like you say Al, doesn’t the Malt/Ale/Wine taste good again tonight. Look forward to another decent drink when the youngsters win at Villa Park and next Saturday when we play the luckiest ever club in the history of English football.Sorry been out most of the day at a family event.
Yep, great win again and TOTL….. :woohoo:
Gutted I can’t attend next Saturday. Hols booked long before the fixs came out. Not in London before anyone asks
Railway shut through Bolton for 2 weeks due to electrification works.
Still running from Wigan to Manc via Atherton not the main route. Better to drive probably.
We’re 7/1 favourites for the title at the moment according to Oddschecker.
Today will be a good test of where we really are. Very good result at MK Dons but so important now to follow it up with another 3 points.
2-0…up the Tics :woohoo:
first 5 positives;
Winning 2-1
Josh Laurent’s debut goal and good all round performance
Donervan Daniels, finally getting some game time and looking quite solid
The performances of Colclough, Merrie, Thomas, Gilby and James
The state of the pitch [although why did they have to water the fooker]Now 5 Negatives;
The poor defending of set pieces [all night]
Giving away a scrappy goal
The queues at the tuck shop despite a gate of only 3,391 albeit all of um being in one stand.I can only think of 3. :cheer:
Shocking from the Latics (un)faithful. Glad we don’t get crowds like that on at the rugby. Not even in the lean years where it actually went up circa 2005.
Nothing new here then, Latics win a game, chubsters talk crowds.
I see Bury FC have made the main event channel on sky sports, can’t find a super 8’s anywhere. There’s cricket, tennis, tiddlewinks and marbles being shown but no blobbies.
Wakefield v Leeds on ch 408

I can think of more than two more negatives, but a win is a win, and with so many changes and debuts I don’t think it would be right to be too critical.
The major positive for me was seeing the depth we have.
Although it wasn’t a great overall performance, I think the majority that played tonight showed as individuals each one of them could probably slot into the first team without weakening it.
Positives – the price of ale hasn’t increased
– Cook doesn’t wear shortsNegatives – it rained
– Someone else sat in “my” seat
– Cook doesn’t wear a suitSeriously though, a win is a win. Accept that the whatsit cup isnt a priority but it could be a useful outlet for trying the fringe players. Good to see DD back…
Looking forward to Sunday :cheer:Great result. MK would never be an easy place to go first up…
Not seen anything of the game yet, but I’d take a scrappy 1-0 (away especially) any day.
It’s 3 points like these that will really make the difference come the end of the season; playoffs or not, automatic or playoffs etc…
We could do with Powell having a quiet couple of games now though ;)
Have season ticket sales ever been announced? I don’t remember them being.Nothing official but we usually hear a comment like “my mate in the ticket office says we’ve sold X….”
We’ll probably have to wait till September as there will be people away for the Bury game, especially with it being Sunday. Portsmouth game who knows? Not heard yet if it’s being switched. If it isn’t switched, that will mean around 20 (or was it 20%?) ST holders being “elsewhere” that day
I see on the official page that over 1000 tickets sold for MK Dons, but nothing seems to have been said about how many ST’s have been sold. Is it normal not to announce it, or is it only announced after the first home game?– and no I don’t have a ST, and haven’t for years as I work 1 in 3 weekends.
Doubt we’ll get an answer PA…which tells it’s own story. 6K max I’d say and that’s being generous.
Who cares anyway…we’ve only had about 3 games ever at the JJB/DW where there haven’t been any empty seats and that was due to ManUre touts
Season starts for me when we play Blackpoo’ at wom a wick on Tuesday. Can’t wait.
Were you two on abart thegg men?
Geet to the final again. Funny or a coincidence how they turn the form book upside down when it came tat thegg cup.Shhh…Moriss running book :S
traditionally closes at the late August Bank holiday weekend; so I’ll be free to watch the Latics. Should I be sad or happy ????Game will be off on 26th August. There’s no trains to London all that weekend due to the start of HS2 construction so all 30 of them (is that actually 30 or 30% as Eric Pollard would have us believe) wont get back for the Sunday ko.
Busy postman – he delivered mine about half an hour ago :D
Ive just got home from work & have received mine & my sons. This postman has earned his money today, especially coming all this way to runcorn as well.
Pat didn’t visit our house with mine today, lazy git!!!
You’ve been struck off Horc :woohoo:
ST arrived about 10 min ago
Today’s the deadline for own seat renewals…2hours to go :woohoo:
Anyone heard how sales are going? Bound to be down on last season, but by how much?
Possibly the best crowd of the season tonight.75 less than Thursday
You’re probably not wrong Don…Blackburn on 28/10 should run it close though.
Relegated….
I am joking by the way. I think I am, I hope I am, I pray I am
After last season’s debacle who knows? :S
