I haven’t seen anything of the game, but kept an eye on BBC website text last night.
60% possession away from home against a team below us and no goal(s).
We really do need to put a winning run together PDQ. 3 wins and it will all look so much better; 3 defeats and it doesn’t bear thinking about
We’ve brought in what we hope are good signings in the window. Another couple of games without a win (given the form this season, Brum aside and end of last season) and I fear DW’s firing finger will be getting twitchy.
We must be challenging the top 6 by the end of November, ready to launch a big assault on promotion. Otherwise it’s time for a change of manager.
There’s too much talent available to us for the league position we are now in.
We always go to the Brown Cow on Livesey Branch Road. No probs for away fans, costs 3 dabs to park up and is 10 mins walk from ground. Can be a barsteward of a hill to walk back to after game if youve lost. :(
Not sure of distance from train station, but its in the Feniscowles area. They don’t call it the “town of a hundred hills” for nothing
Working tomorrow so can’t go sadly…have fun chaps who are going B)
You’ll get carted off to the nut house if you carry on talking to yourself. :woohoo:
Been there for years already, so not worried :woohoo:
Usually a more sensible conversation anyway… ;)
A win’s a win as they say…
I didn’t mention before I’ve got tickets for me and the wife to go to the Slovenia game on 15th Nov. The compromise to agree this was we have to go round Covent Garden in the morning and go for lunch somewhere
effing expensiveniceBig trouble now that Durham have wonLost by an innings and 18 runs.
Yorkshire strong favourites now for the County Championship and as you say, Lancs in real danger of relegation.
Yes good luck to James Mc at Palace..he’ll need it to avoid the drop.
Always welcome back if it doesn’t work out. He wants to play in the top league and fair play to him.
The squad is looking strong. Does that give Herr Tinkerman more scope to rotate?
Pick your best 11 Uwe…make the rest fight for their places.
Who are our best 11 though? We don’t know on here so who are we to question the boss?
With all the new signings we have a realistic chance of being in a promotion place by the end of the year (if not before!)
That will indeed be time for a Christmas Carol or 2….
You can tell we’re in a good mood about the transfer window, compare that to this time last year
Can’t say I’ve heard of him before today…Uwe no doubt has been watching him…
His brother Oliver was very greedy..so there’s hope yet for an end to the goal famine :woohoo:
We were too busy speculating about the
potentialprobabledefinitenew signing. He was seen an hour ago trying to climb out of an upper floor window at the Wrightington Hotel :lol:Strong performance yesterday. Could Waghorn be our striker?
I did say after the Reading game…comment after 5 games. Well it’s looking a lot better.
think you’ll find that this site has been killed off
mainly due to griff
You mean Griff the famous author of drivel ? :)[/quote]
When he walked past me on Saturday (Hi BTW…) he looked like he was preparing for November ;)
Certainly hope so…
Although it’s not signed and sealed, surely DW wouldn’t have done that today if it wasn’t a “certainty”?
Like I said though….never trust the French :S
Was introduced to the fans before kick off.Sky sports state at 5.30 that wolves have made a substantial offer for him…….unlucky !!!Heard on TalkShite driving home that the Tours spokesman/jobsworth had announced it wasn’t a done deal, despite his appearance with DW today.
Humiliating indeed if he doesn’t sign!
Edit…
From the horse’s mouth…

European rule number 1…never trust the French
That will be sorted and there will be a statue of him outside the stadium the next dayThere should be one already.
Ok so some of us like to have our moans about the “War Chest” and the “Barbados bank account”, tongue in cheek. Had DW not bought the club in 1995, where would we be now?
Hardly a queue of would be replacement owners is there?
If Dave really needs to get shut, he could always sell up to his mate Eric Pollard
Anyone know why the tv wasnt on in the east stands on Saturday. Not on in the West either.
Overheard a couple of complaints to the staff on the concourse…”we only run the bars” was the reply
Hoping it was a technical hitch that will be sorted for Saturday.
