He will stay with us for another year. Arsenal will do nothing again and Wenger will depart on the basis that he has taken the club as far as he can and Bobby will take over.
Dave Whelan should use his contacts with Old Red Nose and get Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from Molde (where he won their league last year in his first year of management – albeit with a relatively [by Norwegian football] big budget funded by a Norwegain Dave Whelan).
Now this is an intersting post (and believable to me).
Think they’ll beat West Brom unfortunately.Agreed. Think QPR will win as well. We only really need one win from 2 very winnable games. Bolton was really hurt by injuries this year, IMO. But, all the better for us. Frankly, I’d rather have them go down than Blackburn, just because I think they have a better core of players, and Wigan is better off, ultimately, with all nearby competition in lower leagues.
Couldnt care less about England. Aint no room in my heart for any team but latics.Agreed 100%!!!! Of course, I’m American, so, it’s a lot easier for me to take that position.
Well, I certainly haven’t been following the team as long as the rest of you (I’m a Yank, & adopted Wigan as my team when they were promoted). But, even though we played, well, it was a nice setup for us as ManU had a nice cushion at the top.
What about that League Cup semi-final vs Arsenal when Roberts scored? Was that a better overall performance? Tough to quantify. Two years ago (3? I’m getting old), we pretty much dominated at Old Trafford & were very unlucky to lose.
I’m very concerned about our goal difference vs QPR, espcecially with the seemingly easy run in that Bolton and Blackburn have.
We HAVE to win at Blackburn, & then it’s still tricky. But, we’re playing well, so I’m hopeful!
If we could get just a point at Arsenal and at Fulham, I’d be very, very happy.
