Leam must be saying “I told you so” and having a nice cool glass of smug beer !
I have to say Cup Winners & Vince, your posts are IMO a true reflection of current circumstances & I echo what you both believe.
Since 1997, we went on one incredible journey that all clubs in the lower tiers would give their right arm for. Like most clubs in L1 & 2 (including the smaller championship clubs) who have had similar success as ourselves, their run & glory years sadly & inevitably come to an end. A club like ours does not have the finance, history, fanbase, nor the club size to maintain these “glory years.”
One day they might come back. They might never come back. Que Sara & all that.
Football was a much better place before it was destroyed by the money that fuelled greed; and now the wheels are slowly dropping off (starting with the lower less popular clubs)
If the embargo is not in force at the moment, then get him signed asap; because you can’t sit back on what might happen !
After the embargo is live, that is the point when we can’t sign players.Pollard will be sniffing around to pick up our carcass
Exactly what I thought about 4 months ago !
Should have recalled Robinson months ago !
I agree with you CW.
Now we have to wait 2 weeks before the next humiliation.
For me this is the lowest of the low, as a Latics fan of 55 years standing. It will be the last straw when they sell the ground to Pollard & the Eggs. Not far off happening !
Agree with you also Mr Phoenix !
I agree with you Skegs,
Think we would have amassed more points with Liam; certainly not any worse !
I fail to see what KTs game plan is and it’s very reminiscent of the Joyce era.
Wake me up when the nightmare is over.
And if anyone dares to blow smoke up KTs arse, then fine but please explain why he seems to favour Fletcher in the starting line up !!!!!!! I don’t think any Latics fan leaving today’s game would be foolish or brave enough to pick Fletcher. Yes, Liam had his favourites and now its becoming clear who KTs favourites are. Nowt much changed then
Just woke up, thinking I was having a nightmare; only to realise the gravity of the situation
This has got to be the worse run of defeats in our history, when you consider that our Manager is a renowned international defender. What was the game plan at the outset today ? KT reckoned that we were good value for the first 70 minutes
Well Donny, I must meet you and shake your hand !
I agree. The substitutions were the worst that I have witnessed in over 55 years of watching the Latics. KT brings on a Mon that wouldn’t get on the bench at Charnock Richard !
Talk about pressing the self destruct button; that takes the crown!
If you are reading Talhal then my life long season ticket is just about to fritter out; like our season !
And anybody who thinks that I haven’t got the right to to comment can put 55 years of loyal home and away support in their cannon before they decide to fire back ! So F— O– !!!!!!!!!!!!!Worse than Warren Joyce.
Worse than Malky McKay.
Enough Said.Wasn’t impressed with KT’s impact substitutions to replace Thelo & Calum; afterwhich we lost any manner of threat in the game.
I just want to watch exciting football. Long passes, short pass and move. A wide man taking defenders on and crossing high to a striker or going around a defender and cutting back a cross to an oncoming striker or midfielder. A grafter type in midfield or midfield general who can battle and take on defenders. A striker or even two who will come back and defend but who can dribble a ball. Remember dribbling, it was fab. I like defenders to be defenders but when it’s right to bring the ball forward and overlap with the winger.
All much better than an insistence of pass, pass, pass sideways or backwards.
Please Kolo get back to my preferred way, the Latics way the likes of what we haven’t seen since Steve Bruce’s days.I agree with you Donny.
I will be behind KT, but this is a shit or bust second half of the season for me. If it proves to be a disastrous appointment, I will relinquish my season ticket of 40 years and spend my hard earned cash & time on catching a specimen salmon. Football in general has changed from the heady days of our youth and I am not certain that all the changes are for the better of the game or the loyal supporters.OK – so today’s “hot favourite” according to the press is Kolo Touré! What do we all think of that? Personally, I remember him as a player but didn’t realise he had gone on to a “coaching” career!
Would seem to be a bit of a punt if you ask me, but maybe he could get his brother along to join him in a “Dream Team” appointment at WAFC!!!
Sounds a bit like another Warren Joyce Fiasco if you ask me !
Not convinced at all ! -
