Personally, I think that comment is Borrocks !
How often do you watch Blackburn Rovers ?
    Every Week ?
Cos, I happen to work with several Blackburn fans and they think he definitely blows hot and cold. So, not that different to our opinion of Nicky Boy. Trouble is, that we follow and critique one team and one team only. He didn’t make an impression at the DW apart from a series of long range balls out to the right wing; apart from that he was innocuous. Wouldn’t do a straight swop for him in the transfer window.

The sending off wasn’t harsh at all. Their player was a stride away from getting the ball for what would have been an obvious goal scoring opportunity & Naismith pulled him back. Nailed on red.

How come, in the previous two weeks that neither the Bolton or Blackburn player who fouled the last man in the box and conceded a penalty was not even booked ?

Not sure when we last won at the Horwich Wanderers Stadium; I think Lee McCulloch scored the winner ! So it was nice to trudge home with a point in the bag at least. Could have won though and never looked in any danger; even with the multitude of corners that Wanky won. Funny how the Latics faithfull mistook the Wanky substitution for Janic Wildschutt :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

in reply to: Sharpy farewell letter #172848
It really makes me quite emotional to think the Whelan family will no longer have anything to do with us.
That is a great letter and I bet it took a few drafts to get it right, how Big Dave and especially Sharpey must be feeling right now, we’ll never know.
I hope he shows his face and carries on supporting us.
We’ve had some brilliant times over the last 23 years, lets just hope the next 23 bring some more.
Good luck to Sharpey in whatever he does and a great big thank you to the whole Whelan Family for what they have done for this great club of ours.
    Cheers for everything.

    Foo kin Hell Horc

If we do another 23 years, how old are we gonna be ? We’ll be chunnering on about how we won the FA Cup in 2013. Right owld farts !

How long before Bob gets the Job at Real Madrid ?

So in anticipation, it’s a well done to Bob from me !!!

Now when can you arrange a friendly (home & away) against the famous Tics :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

in reply to: Josh Windass #172535
Windass playing in a more favoured position than out wide of midfield. Playing a right sided player on the right makes a bit more sense and it worked so well done Paul Cook on a fantastic win.
What’s the odds on Macca departing in January. Seems he is totally surplus to requirements here.

    Oh Donny, Donny, Donny;

Gary Roberts was MoM today, with a great mature performance and earned his standing ovation when he was substituted near the end.

And yes I agree with JR, a lot of Windass moaners out there; but he put a great shift in and kept plugging away until he got that vital goal. Let’s hope that gives him a great boost in confidence.

Great three points today; cos two weeks ago I would have taken a point at Knob End and a point today; so a point more than I figured. Now let me murder that bottle of Red !

Not Knocking Cookie, cos he is doing a great job; but I just can’t see what Connolly adds to the team. If we had left Lee Evans on the pitch, we would have be coming back up the A1 with a point !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey Eggy Fella.

Don’t knock the out of town Latics fans; cos you’ll find them more loyal that your average Wigan Mon ! I was born in wrightington, then exiled to Croston then Lostock Hall; but have always followed the Latics ! Even when I lived in Larne, I flew home on alternate weekends to follow the Latics ! That’s loyalty !

Bottom line is:- if it were free entry, for Wiganers, with a pie and pint thrown in; they still wouldn’t turn up in vast numbers. Good job us out of towners turn up every game

Numbers growing in Leyland these days as well! :P[/quote]

My missionary work must be paying off then :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

.. Striker Joe Garner signed a 2 year deal. Max Power gone on season long loan to Sunderland with view of a permanent contract.

He’s bound to score the winner against the Nobbers
