However, life is far too short to correct all the messages posted here. Posters usually manage to make their point, but a little more care would be welcome.
Otherwise you might get a Glasgow Kiss, if you are such a smart arse ;) ;) ;)

in reply to: Are footballers Woosies in comparisson to #118579

I think it is football related; it draws comparisson between football and other sports. Surely that is a fair post.

By the way, was “Auto-que” your way of being really, really cleaver by chucking in a a pun on the Spanish word for what? Or do you really not know how to spell autocue?
Gordon Brown And The Deliberately Placed Auto-Que

It’s one of those modern words that has several spellings. It must be like no-nowt, or even know-nowt !

“We will never win the FA Cup with Martinez’s team selections”

That’s an own goal by Lostock, and a Golden Goal too!

My own prediction; We will never win the Community Shield with Martinez’s team selections. My beautiful tickets arrived this morning!

Erm, scratches chin; where was I quoted as saying that we will never win the FA Cup with Bobby’s team selection ? My post was a quizzical sort of “Just how did we win the cup” when Bobby himself said that his style and philosophy of football isn’t suited to the lower leagues and therefore he was the wrong Manager for Wigan in the Championship. So it begs the rhetorical question, just how did we manage to overcome these lesser teams on our way to victory in the FA Cup. I assure you that these were Bobby’s words ( or maybe excuses ) that he gave in one of the many interviews after his resignation from Wigan. If there is only one comment that I choose to remember it is this one, because it frustrated me the most, since I believe a good Manager and team should be capable of winning at any level ( wonder what Alex Ferguson’s opinion would be ). I gave Bobby un-conditional support and was truly disappointed with his departure and considered that this was a pretty feable excuse to quote.

However, I ask a reasonable question then get abuse from certain quarters, who then don’t seem to like it hurled back at them. Some don’t read the thread properly, then go off at a tangent. Some are just on another planet. It makes you wonder, scratches chin again, just what is the point of this board.

How did we win the FA Cup, because according to our beloved Roberto he could not adapt his football philosophy & style to win games outside of the Premier League ( his words, not mine ). That is one of the major reasons he decided to leave us.

    Auto-Que, RM Groupies !

Roberto who? Most of us on this forum have moved on. You seem pretty well obsessed with him though, as far as I can tell.

And if you STILL haven’t learned to take with a pinch of salt anything that he said in public, then you must be a pretty slow learner.
Nowt wrong with that, is there ?
Anyway, as for slow learners; you took the bait and were easily reeled in
Bollocks, it wasn’t bait, it was a serious post, and you know it. Don’t go back-tracking just because someone disagrees with you. You spend too much time with that sneering, no-nowt Moss fella, that’s probably your problem.
Shall we rename this the Griff Forum, because you obviously don’t get it do you; this is a forum for football things past, present or future, which includes a multitude of opinions. All you seem to do is try and dictate to people what they can and can’t post, think or say. You don’t have to respond to any post; but you just can’t help trying to be Johnny Big Bollocks. Were you the playground bully.

If any of you do want to buy some flares for future games you can order via the below link:

    Buy flares online

It’s out of order advertising them on here, they’re a lot more offensive than the other flares we’ve seen lately.
I prefer to wear parallels & docs myself !

would be nice to have an Albert in the team; last one was Albert Jackson.

Albert Crusat was in our squad, but hardly ever in the team. Albert Jackson on the other hand was a first team member for long periods.
Sorry, I’ve already forgot most of Bobby’s wonder signings !
The Leyland Massif seems to have been flexing it’s “We know all about Wigan’s historical players” muscles quite a bit recently but looks to have contracted a serious case of pins and needles!!

First getting the last Albert to play for us wrong, then getting Gilly’s playing position wrong. Nothing worse than trying to look clever then looking daft.

    Buck up, lads! ;)
What was his mother thinking, a Spanish Albert should surely be Alberto; so in my book he’s not a full Albert and therefore doesn’t count.

Alex Cribley had the look of “Terry from Brookside.
Then we had Nigel Mansel in the nets; aka Simon Farnworth.
Not to forget Kwai Chang Caine; our very own Lee Koo ( where is he now ? )
