Thought Clarke had a good game to be honest and the only time he was offside was when he scored and that’s debatable.
When I saw the team I feared for us but worked well negated there wing backs.
Yet again though cooks subs didn’t help. Has he made one yet thats benefited us. What is the point of Josh Windass?

Not sure we contained them more the fact they were awful but they still won. Was it a fluke or an amazing goal? Doesn’t really matter it went in and we caved in again. I have backed Cook and still do but yesterday’s game was so frustrating and demoralizing. I do think we beat ourselves by such negative tactics. We are trying to grind out enough points which is not how we set out at the start of the season.

Derby were terrible and we still lost. Can’t string two passes together. I’ve backed Cook but don’t think it matters what players he picks were awful. If Leon Clarkes a footballer there’s a chance for any of us.
Was we really the better team? Did we actually create good chances? We go a goal behind so teams happy to conceed possession. We create half chances certainly don’t build any serious pressure and force tbe keeper to make anything but standard saves. Same every week I’m afraid.

Seen nothing in him yet to see why. 4 games now without scoring in regular play with two of those games against teams in the bottom three. That is the worry now albeit we are roughly were I would have expected us to be now. Sacking Cook would be a bad idea though as that didnt work the last two times in this division did it?
Windass was excellent who would have thought that was coming when Powell cried off again (how injured is he really. Cook wasn’t impressed).
Mom VaughnYou can be offside just in the opposition’s half and not be causing an obstruction! Had the goal come from a direct corner it would have stood as you can’t be offside directly from a corner but if you take a short one and receive the ball back in an offside position then it’s a free kick ! You would think that they know this shit in training. On saying that, opposing teams tend to have one if not two on the goal line for corners. Today they didn’t!
My point was you need to be interfering with play to be offside so how was that possible when the goal was scored nearly 30 yards away?

Seriously though that corner routine was doing my but in. Why not just cross it in moving it a yard tops makes no difference and your always going to be offside from were your stood taking the corner. Bloody stupid. Put the FA cup winning goal on the training ground this week
Spot on Donny. He did same against Hull. Both times groans about it during the game. Why we being negative? Against Hull we created more with the formation. Wait for the time it doesn’t work. The dark side will slaughter him.

Not a classic but great Sam Morsey goal, some ridiculous skills from Powell, great wing back play by both our youngsters, especially James who was mom, a great cameo from Gibson, just watch him he sat in there for twenty minutes and our two centre halves and midfielders suddenly became a unit. Add to some good goalkeeping y Hulls keeper plus comedy defending by Kipre, found it an enjoyable night made by the win of course.
