Gomez ran the show today and his passing was immense. Cracking goal to boot.
All the lads played well and thought Mclean put his heart and soul into it today.
Hope Pardew gets his just desserts.
He was played out of position last night and have seen far worse performances from other players this season, yet he is the continual scapegoat. Good result last night but the booing he received was disgraceful.
If Chelsea didn’t pull in 50 away fans maybe the mighty FA cup winners will be a bigger draw.
By ‘eck, I’m glad I’m divorced and childless!!
Gotta say, though, hope you’re not shoving *all* women into that bit in bold, there must be more than one footie widower or ex out there… :D
Yes I was!!
Take the following:
Monday night – Me: “I think I might go to the Latics game on Thursday”. Her “Okay, no problem”.
This morning as BBC news was showing the champions league goals from last night – “I’ve got my ticket for Thursday night”. Her “I hope you’re joking. You were out last night refereeing & I’m not well” (she has a cough). Me “I told you about that the other night & you said it wasn’t a problem”. Her “That’s not the point”I’m pretty sure my wife is representative of the female species as a whole!!
Pretty much so, I’d say.
I am going Thursday and have relayed this to my wife about three times in the past week. This morning I refreshed her memory and was greeted with ” why haven’t you put it on the calendar, I was thinking of doing something Thursday. ”
I nearly said that the date for divorce will be on the calendar if you carry on but I love the nagging cow. :silly:
Ah….good to see someone else’s house is run in accordance with ‘The Calendar’.
The irony is Standish, that the said calendar, is one bought for part of my birthday present. It is one of those Wigan Athletic news clippings calendars that you can buy.

I have two young kids and a wife who works very hard so I can see where she is coming from when I disappear for most of a Saturday. However, it doesn’t stop me going, I just put up with the nagging. :P
Good point. Maybe I should have said he can’t still be married.
God knows I get grief every time I go to the football, which isn’t as much as I’d like.
next time you take up your seat in the stadium   :lol:Not unless the stadium has been renamed Harry’s bar.
Maybe it was £5 million well spent if other people who consider it okay to leave their children unattended for a long period of time, re-think doing this next time they have the opportunity, therefore possibly saving another child’s life.
I am sensitive being a parent, but to leave three kids unattended (all under 4) for minimum periods of half an hour is not acceptable on any level. That said, they have had the ultimate punishment and no one knows this more than themselves.
Like I said, even if it serves as a public awareness message on how to be more aware of your kids whereabouts and safety, then it might just be worth £5 million.
I never knew that the profit margin on an average £1315 energy bill was only £65. That works out at less than 5%.
For the amount that it’s worth to a consumer, there are far more ways I’d want the government to concentrate their efforts on than pursue these companies.
Why not add extra money into the fund to find alternative sources of energy that will in future make us less reliant on the likes of Russia and the Middle East.
It comes down to the short term view of Governments vying to win their next election rather looking at the bigger picture.
It’s on BT Sport if you have it. If not it will definitely be on Wiziwig.
Apparently Bob was good after all.
Always nice to see the Barcodes get beaten.
Seeing as Kone isn’t going to get a game with Lukaku being on fire, think we should organise a cheeky loan deal.
:woohoo:
Maybe they’re looking for fans to travel with the team just in case there is a hidden gem of a striker amongst them.
