I suppose having the six months you’ve had, following a club owned by a money launderer, seeing it almost go to the wall and almost avoid relegation, seeing it flog all its assets until all there was left is an empty trophy cabinet, a stadium that nobody can attend and Gavin Massey, seeing it bottom of the 3rd division being humbled by Chorley and still with the very real possibility that what remains of the club will be liquidated in the near future, then you are due a bit of pleasure.
What a shame though that the only pleasure you can take is from the heartbreak of someone else.
You sad fuck.
Keep going GL and with a bit of luck, I’ll see you at the Peterborough game in late Feb!
Who the fuck wants to go to the stadium to watch that shite and the people wearing the shirt that call themselves professional footballers? Its bloody hard enough watching it online as it is, its a NO from me i’m afraid!

Wow. Just Wow. This is the type of fairweather fan you can do without….
It gets reviewed every 14 days, so if you all really want to get back in the stadium, do what you have been told to do for the last 3 months – stay the fuck inside.
Wigan’s covid rate has been ridiculously high since mid-September.
Considering the next league fixture was already called off, and considering the need for cash, I am baffled as to why he didnt play his strongest 11. £16972 was given to the winners yesterday, with a guaranteed £8500 for losing in the 2nd round (or £25500 for winning it). Instead there is £5657.
With cash being king for Wigan Athletic at the moment, Sheridan’s selection has cost the club a guaranteed £20,000+
For that alone, he should go.
I watched that today and was shocked. Was Massey a regular last season, or is he at the end of a contract that originated when you were last in the 3rd division? I agree that he looked utter gash though, but then again so did everyone except the lad who was playing out right (Crankshaw – I think)
Serious question – how far do you think you’ll drop before you start to rise again (ie, do you think you’ll stay up, and if not, do you think you’ll come straight back up)?
Although given our tier 3 status it may well not be allowed
Fair enough Egg. I’m not sure how much it costs for the club to put on a beamback, but I thought any profit would be better than no profit.
Stu – Its a beautiful morning in my part of the world today. Hope your grapes arent too sour this morning after last nights bullying….
I asked the question a while back as to why the Supporters Club dont show the game and charge entry (thus getting 100% of the revenue) and was told by Egg that is wasnt allowed.

It appears that games are being shown at the SOL banqueting facility as long as Govt guidelines are met. Is a similar arrangement not possible at the DW?
I buy my stream through the club.
Hope that helps.
The money from these subscriptions will be going towards the running costs of the club. Transfer window’s now closed and there’s no chance of flogging the last bits of family silver, so the club now has to generate enough money each month to meet its outgoings.
If you feel that you are still not comfortable with buying a Latics TV match pass and instead watch the game on free foreign streams, perhaps give the £10 to the supporters’ club appeal instead?
For an away game, not much. Think it was agreed that only the first 500 sales go to the away team. They get about 90% of each sale.
Wrong Egg mon..
Cowling said: “The way it works currently is that the home team keep all of the revenue for the tickets they sell through their own website and they also get the revenue for the first 500 that buy via the away team.
In essence, if 5000 Wigan fans buy a £10 stream for a home game, then £50,000 goes into WAFC’s coffers. If 5,000 Wigan fans buy a stream for an away game, then £45,000 goes into your coffers.
Either way, buy your stream through the club and not some dodgy foreign stream, where fuck all goes to your club.
Safety is priority.
If safety was the priority, this charade that is playing sport behind closed doors would cease immediately.
Its about money, and because the greed league want their billions, everyone else has to dance to their tune in the hope they throw a few quid in the tatty cap that acts as a begging bowl.
Two threads called “Today”. One is about the win against Doncaster and has 2 posts. The other is about a different sport and has 17 post (18 now, including this).
But you’re not obsessed….
Nice to see the chips have been brought out of the freezer and put back on your shoulders.
I suppose you had to make room to store the sour grapes.
I recently read a quote from the Colchester chairman on how the stream money is shared. As it appears the first 500 streams sold by you for a home fixture go to the away side, is there any mileage (or legality) in the supporters club buying 1 stream and showing it in the bar, then charging £10 to get in. Net result is that only £10 goes to the away side.
Similarly, every stream sold above 500 for an away fixture goes to the away club, and thus it would be more beneficial to the club if everyone bought streams via the club for away fixtures.
