Go on holiday on the Sunday :( If it is to move for TV im hoping for the 12:45 Saturday slot
I’ld like it then too, but can’t see Sky having little Wigan and plucky Blackpool as the opening fixture for the ‘greatest league on earth’
I can definitely see it being on the Sunday.
There are many enlightened employers who will turn this into a positive experience.
I work in an office with around 100 other people.
We’ve got two 50″ plasmas already set up. For both the opening game and the England game at 3pm there’s food, beer and wine laid on.For all other Engalnd games we’ve extended flexi-time for the morning after, so people can roll in at 10 o’clock.
If England win the final then everyone gets an extra days’ holiday. Only so many can book the next day, but those who aren’t too bothered still get an extra day to take whenever they like.
I guarantee practically everyone will make up the lost time without being asked.
Obviously, we’re in an industry that can allow this, but it would be interesting to understand what other companies are doing.
Count me in.
Showing my age a bit here, but during my ‘formative’ years Miss Diane from Crossroads did it for me everytime.
I’ll bet Benny used to crack a few out thinking of her too!
More choice would be great, but I have to agree with the comments on barriers to control the queues and having a load of pints ready for half time. The thing that stops me using the catering at the stadium is the size of the queues, the random queuing system and the queue jumping
Balti pies and Guiness for me please.
Maccy Ds works for the kids.

However, if Swansea could do it then they can have a couple of their ex-players back. After all, they have Premiership experience now.
Your not seriously gonna open champagne to ‘celebrate’ finishin near the bottom of the league?Damn right.
Give me 17th next season and I’d take it now.
Their last goal came about because some of our players were knackered. Subs should have been on 20 mins before the end. I was watching NZogbia and he started drifting inside to avoid having to make the runs on the wing. Didn’t track back, Melchiot got caught in two minds (close down Parker or keep on the outside man) and that gave Parker an age to take that shot. Not blaming NZogbia, manager should have made the subs sooner.
Agree about Gohouri. Played well and didn’t deserve to be dropped today.

Too young to recall owt before that.
Didn’t see you in the pub before the Fulham game – were you there?
Maybe see you at West Ham or Chelsea?Unfortunately, I didn’t make it in time and only got to the ground just before kick off. Already got the West Ham tickets and was planning on going to Chelsea too, although both games now in doubt. My son’s under 12s team has only gone and made it to the semi-finals of their cup competition on 24th April. Worse still, if he gets to the Final it’s on May 9th!!!
Is it wrong of me to hope they get knocked out?
Hopefully his game on 24th will be an early kick off and we might still get to the game. Let me know which pubs and we might still see you in one of them.
Shaping up to be an interesting encounter on Sunday given Fulham’s delicate lead over Wolfsburg. Will Hodgson field a weakened side again?
Will 2 days rest be enough recovery/prep time for them before Sunday?
Will their minds be on the game or looking towards the second leg?
Will they be buoyed by their Europa lead or nervous about their slight advantage?
Will the “neutrals” section be full of part time Fulham fans? (this one’s for sure)Will 5 days rest give us the edge?
Will our lads be chomping at the bit to make up for Monday or still demoralised after harshly losing out?
Or will they have their minds on a night out in London as has happened in the past?
Will we play in blue and white and avoid the hoodoo of our unlucky orange strip?BTW – all southern tics…it’s pay on the day on Sunday…get theeself down there…starting with a few pints at the Coat & Badge!
Thanks galacTIC, I was just thinking about ringing the club in the morning to see if it was pay on the day.
Leaving Cambridge around 11, so should be in the pub around 1ish.
Come and say hello, I’ll be with my 12yr old lad and drinking guiness (me not him).
As a season ticket holder I can bring 3 people to the game for £4 eachFFS – it works out at £4 a go what cant you Maurice gets your head round –
I cant do this, I cant do that, Maurice the lot of you – try selling this to Chelsea fans where a ticket is £48 a go – unbelievable you lotSo why not just say tickets are £4?
I do think the club are trying, but it could be so much simpler.
Once you work it out, it is a very good deal as each ticket is effectively just £4.
However, you need an A level in maths to actually work it out!
It’s just too complex. Even the web site has a final sentence now added that starts, “To clarify, you must…”
I’m sorry, but if you need to clarify it’s too complicated to start with. There’s also a footnote stating you can’t buy on the day, etc.
It’s only for ST holders to buy at these prices. If I want to bring a mate, or family members, I want them sitting with me. Not possible where my ST is and I assume it’s the same for other people too.
I’ll bet it doesn’t add more than 500.
Hate being negative and I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it.
If you really want to get a big crowd then make it simple, starightforward and available upto kick off. £5 a ticket in the South Stand only. That’s it. Open to anyone.
As a great example of what’s possible, I turned up 10 minutes before kick off at the MK Dons v Leyton Orient a couple of weeks ago. Turns out it was family day and the cheapest ticket was £5 for me and £3 for my son. Most expensive was £9 and £5. Crowd was over 14,000 compared to average of about 9,000. That’s in league one. Normal prices are £20 to £26 and that’s for members. Oh, and there was no bleating from any of their ST holders either. They pay £230 to £400 a season.
Definitely a foul.
He went down easily and chose his moment to actually fall, but still a foul. Ref could/should have given a free kick outside the box.
