Knew that was going to be Bouazzuan. Shawcross is over-rated and a dirty crunt. How is that lad going to play for England, nowhere near good enough.

Kirkland?

Try £5-6,000 for new turf

300,000 or 3,000 the rugby are still getting almost a full season on a brand new pitch without having to spend a penny.

2,500 quid raised. Fair play to them.

Is that to re turfing the ground the scrounging egg chasing b-st-rds 8-) 8-) 8-)
Dave Whelan’s paying for that, 300,000 quid I’ve heard. A brand spanking new pitch for the rugby and they don’t pay a penny.

By the way whats with all the wingeing about GMR covering the No1 sport in Britain and side lining the pit villagers

To be fair there weren’t any GM Super League teams playing today anyway.
Warrington were at Huddersfield and that was on the internet from Radio Manchester and covered by Radio Merseyside
Like I said, no GM SL clubs. And Radio Leeds had better coverage ;)

A balanced and interesting read. Think you’re right about some fans not being happy to hear it’s nothing to do with the rugby though.

If the JCL’s you’re moaning about dropped off the crowds would be struggling to break 5k. Short memories some on here.

Doubtful if you could be the next president of the USA, you need to be very rich and the the fact that your on here pretending to be a Wigan fan suggests your not.

Willing to meet to see whose pretending.

is unfortunately, that big dave took control 20 years too late. Ive been fortunate to see us rise through the leagues, and fully believe, that 20 years ago we would have had half a chance of doin summat in this league with big daves money, but the reality is, our chairman doesnt have enough money to subsidise a successful team at this level at this time.
ive never been as dissinterested as i am now with latics, but when i think back, even in the mid 90’s when we were super cack, there was always the chance that we could compete with the best teams in whichever league we we were in. that belief now is gone.
we struggle now to sell out at old trafford, yet a few years ago more than two thousand went to torquay.
at first i personally put it down to me starting a family and money etc why i didnt go away as much, but i just dont enjoy it like i used too, fact is gettin here was much more fun than bein ere.
even our so called big moments in the prem, beatin arsenal carling cup etc, doesnt come close to the pitch invasion at coventry for the 3rd round or being 2-1 up at anfield in 89. even the local derbies seemed better.

Spot on even if the other teams in the ‘derbies’ couldn’t give a monkey’s.

In the Jawbone myself but all the talk was of the United game tomorrow.
Headed up to Poacher after tea and it was all about the Scousers. Does nobody in Wigan care about the Latics??

Would’nt look good mutty a 16 or 18 stone bloke stuck in the ladder section to the Gantry.Aswell it costs a few quid for xxxxl harness’s and the emergency services :o :o :o

The picture on the rugby website kind of ruins your ‘joke’.
Like I said before, fair play to them. 2,500 quid from a small group of ordonary blokes is fantastic.

I’d rather watch Latics than England RU.

I’d rather watch my own funeral than England ru.

Stuggling to see why thinking that throwing racial abuse is wrong – and it was racial abuse – makes me a do gooder. I was brought up in Wigan but have lived 100 miles away for the last 20 years, I really want to be proud of my origins but last Sunday made it hard for me to feel anything but ashamed. Some people seem to be locked in the 1960’s. Get out more lads.

Doesn’t make you a do-gooder mate, makes you a decent bloke.
