Bob, like Bruce, will have been offered £1 million to keep us up. He’s not likely to go because there is still a decent chance Portsnouth, Burnley. Wolves and Hull will do worse over the next few months. Blimey they’ll have to be bad to let us stay up.
All four of those clubs will finish below Latics.
My God, I hope you’re right, but I don’t share your confidance.
Been saying it since August and I still believe it.Bob, like Bruce, will have been offered £1 million to keep us up. He’s not likely to go because there is still a decent chance Portsnouth, Burnley. Wolves and Hull will do worse over the next few months. Blimey they’ll have to be bad to let us stay up.All four of those clubs will finish below Latics.
hope no one falls off when they take them down wud leave a big crater in the goal mouth! :twisted:Get your inspiration for that sidesplitter from the six nations today?
Didn’t realise they’d found a cure for insomnia. It’s so sad but so obvious. The Peter Principle says that so may people are promoted beyond the level of their competence. This tragically is the case with RM. We don’t have the worst players but the spiritless, directionless rubbish we have seen this season is unacceptable and is clearly linked to the fact that RM didn’t play at the highest level, never won a sausage and never played under a manager with any real cred. Leadership is hard to measure but RM isn’t a natural leader at the gighest level. It’s a pity. Wish he was.And it’s taken so long to realise that?
Everyone knew about his player record when he got the job but it didn’t stop the street parties and bold predictions.A stay away would certainly send a message but I’d go with a late entrance.
The message would be sent loud and clear if the ground was empty for the first 5 mins.Ramsey’s ankle went under a strong but fair challenge from Shawcross, who had taken a heavy touch and stretched for the ball.
Shawcross appeared to be in tears when he left the field.Maintenance paid for by the Stadium Company, not ‘the football’.Run and owned by D. Whelan. Wigan Athletic run and owned by D. Whelan. Isn’t it coming out of the same pot?
They flags are taken down after every game, it’s their way of making themselves not feel like lodgers.
Like it or not, both of us are lodgers to Whelan.
Yet the football are paying for the pitch being relaid while the rugby don’t have to spend a penny.2,500 quid raised. Fair play to them.
If Latics did go down I can’t see how it could be positive at all. What’s the level of debt currently at? How many fans would stop going? How many season tickets wouldn’t be renewed?
That’s why there’s so much hysteria from some of the whoppers on here. If we did sink down to ” the depths of the Championship ” a good many of our ” fans ” , including many on here , wouldn’t be seen again.
It would be so embarrassing for them , telling their family and friends that they were United or LFC fans again.
The same ‘fans’ who are helping to pay the millionaires’ currently wearing the blue and white? If they didn’t feel embarrassed about switching to Latics I can’t see them feeling bad about sliding back.
I’ve said all season that Latics won’t go down and I’ve seen little to make me change my mind. Bolton look awful and couldn’t score ina brothel. Burnley…
Hull could make a fight of it, but with Portsmouth down it’ those three seemingly doing their best to take the other two relegation places. If Latics did go down I can’t see how it could be positive at all. What’s the level of debt currently at? How many fans would stop going? How many season tickets wouldn’t be renewed?
Fortunately the lad and his girlfriend are alright now.
The sympathy for a fellow Wiganer and his girlfriend on here has been overwhelming. Really makes your heart swell with Wigan pride.I wouldn’t give those kangaroo the steam of my whale, nevermind giving them money to sit next to a load of hagged old fat women and chubby soap dodgers shouting “wigin wigin” – I will never forget supporting the latics in the 80’s and listening to the rugby shat that used to come out of their fat mouths!
and you try telling that to some of the chubby folk, especially a guy near me who has a fatties sticker and a Man U sticker in his car…..makes my blood boil but maybe thats the way it is.
….and anyway, I like to watch a match until its end so wouldn’t enjoy their “wigin walk”
…rant over. The problem with a rant is that you tend to come out with contradictary and downright daft statements.
So this neighbour of yours supports United rather than his home town team and you’re going to take your son to see St Helens or Warrington rather than your home town team?
As for the ‘Wigan Walk’, didn’t you see/go to the game yesterday?
It certinly seems to be a town thing as the Latics have adopted it on numerous occasions this season. An impressive 3 points at an almost sold out ‘little Upton Park’ against Brum tonight.
Two points seperating six teams now.Not exactly sparking for the Black Cats, is he ?As opposed to the Latics squad
