Really don’t know what Paul Kendrick was thinking in choosing to publish that article at such a crucial point in the takeover negotiations.
Funny how Stanley Choi is in the local paper today basically saying it’s a bad idea to invest in Wigan Athletic just as we are about to be taken over ,coincidence or more skullduggery ?
He can’t afford the football club. Would cost him half of his wealth just to buy it. He’d be skint in 2 years.
I don’t think he WANTS to buy the stadium either but knows he may have to to protect the rugbys interest.
I’m quite happy to let him have the stadium if we have a similar setup to them in terms of rent.
We will have to agree to disagree on this one.I think letting him have the stadium would be a massive mistake.
Next week on the intelligence of Latics fans:
“I’d rather go bust than be owned by Ian Lenegan”
It would be a repeat – Bickymon has been saying that on Latics Speyk since mid-July.
Ian Lenegan does not want to own us ,he wants to own the stadium and the training ground.I think that’s why Latics fans are so angry. He makes out he is doing all he can to help us but that is not the case. His preferred option is the so called plan B where the supporters club own the club but he owns everything else. That is the worst case scenario and should be avoided at all costs. My worry is that he is interfering and trying to influence both the EFL and the admin so that he eventually gets his way.
For years now Latics fans have said the rugby lie about their attendances and say they have more on than they do (forgetting the legal implications of this of course) and yet now we have bullitt telling us they lie about their attendances to say that there are LESS people on.
Completely agree ,especially in our Premier league days. The Rugby would declare a crowd just above ours but in reality the crowd was nowhere near the size of ours.We can’t start saying the opposite now !
Did himself no favours with his comments yesterday.Hope he is not interfering with this Bahrain bid it’s absolutely nothing to do with him. This is about what is best for Wigan Athletic not Ian Lenegan and Wigan Warriors.
Got a sore head this morning ,you did say it was our duty ! Let’s hope we finally get the news we have all been waiting for tomorrow.
SO the supporters club released a statement saying they have spoken to the Bahrain consortium on the 4th March who’d in-turn stated that the takeover is in the advanced stages
while
Admin came out and said around the same time 4-5th saying that the Bahrain takeover had gone cold
please explain someone.Looks like that fat Leeds cnut is working hard to make it collapse like all the others. Their hoping Sunderland get promoted then they can delve into the 300k.
What kind of system is this when no one oversee’s the way admin have handled this all?. they are milking us till will die and no one in power does anything.
Were tf is Nandy ?, she pops up, spouts off then fcuks off out of sight,oh sorry, chubsters arent involved, Once there’s no ground for both then there’ll be uproar from the the fat blood pressure crew.
In Financial terms we have been fcuked from behind then left to die by all. A town who has million / billionaires standing back,
I can’t thank DW for the god times but with those comes the bad times. How he can sit back staring at his jet and watch from afar beggars belief.Got to agree with your last point. How can local business people who have money and support the club and have sponsored the club in the past sit back and do nothing.
Our last three mid week home fixtures have all ended in five nil defeats.Teams coming to Wigan are all expecting to win ,don’t buy that Charlton are there for the taking ,they will look at this as a must win game.We need to put in a big performance ,hopefully the luck will be with us.
Remember going to Watford away in the FA Cup and Glenn got Watford’s winner an absolute screamer.Great player RIP.
Is the deal close or is this just another ploy by the admin to keep the process going for another few months ? One thing is clear if the Bahrain group have passed all the EFL tests as has been reported then it should take a couple of days to put the money in place and it’s all systems go. No doubt there will be some last minute hitch !
Having seen it again i’m inclined to give that. Puts his leg across him.
Must admit it falls into the ‘I’ve seen em given’ category.
We did not deserve to lose that we were excellent against the top of the league! We need to build on this performance .We have been on the receiving end of some mid-week home thrashings lately ,let’s stop the rot on Tuesday and start moving up the league.
Will never understand why the EFL did not take their time look at the full facts before implementing the points deduction. It seemed like they could not wait to drop us in it.
Why did Stanley make the usual nothing to tell you announcement yesterday ? Did he think something was going to be said on the supporters club podcast last night , or have the supporters club threatened to say something ?
