Sorry Egg , I still don’t get it ( must be my age ).I understand the selling of Euxton and the chippy but if Company A and Company B are both bought by the Spanish then Latics new owners will own the stadium. If they own the stadium why do they have to pay rent ? Maybe it’s a point the Spanish have been making !
What I don’t get is that you are saying Latics don’t actually own the stadium but the administrators insisted any new owner must buy the club and the stadium they were not prepared to separate them.If this is not the case what exactly are they buying ?
Well they rightly should have to with the pittance of rent they been paying for yrs.
Both clubs pay the same “pittance of rent”
I think this is a key point.Latics will own the stadium but are expected to pay the same rent.I don’t get it.
The problem is the longer this goes on the more it’s going to affect our long term future.Certain local parties might be happy with that outcome and will keep it going for as long as it takes. We need it resolving this week ,no excuses !
Very suspicious of any new bidders at this stage. The question I have yet to see a satisfactory answer to is why have they left it so late when someone else has had a bid accepted and exclusivity ? Are they just trying to disrupt the process? If the Spanish bid fails I have a feeling they will disappear without trace.
I suppose having the six months you’ve had, following a club owned by a money launderer, seeing it almost go to the wall and almost avoid relegation, seeing it flog all its assets until all there was left is an empty trophy cabinet, a stadium that nobody can attend and Gavin Massey, seeing it bottom of the 3rd division being humbled by Chorley and still with the very real possibility that what remains of the club will be liquidated in the near future, then you are due a bit of pleasure.
What a shame though that the only pleasure you can take is from the heartbreak of someone else.
You sad fuck.
Don’t be so soft.We have been on the receiving end from our Rugby friends on many ,many occasions.Never forget the Warriors fans going ballistic after we lost on penalties to Arsenal in the FA Cup semi final. What goes around comes around .
As regards your gloating at our current misfortune ,don’t forget we will be back ,bigger and stronger!
I won’t swear back at you ,Latics fans are better than that.Apparently the only thing outstanding now is the owners and directors test.’Only’,surely should have been the first thing they looked at.Get the impression the EFL are stringing this out for as long as possible just to make absolutely sure we have no chance of staying up.
Just hearing that Kendrick is saying there is still an issue with the lease.I thought substantial progress had been made that’s why the Spanish had submitted their ‘final’ paperwork. I can’t take much more of this.
I remember the Football Pink, it had all the results and published soon after the games had
finished and see who we had drawn in the FA Cup.I used to queue outside the paper shop waiting for the “pinks “ to arrive. Sad ,but true.
Being computer illiterate I am fairly new to this forum lark ( I still miss the football pink on a Saturday night ).However ,this does not make me any less of a Latics fan ,I have been watching them since the 1960s.I just miss the banter at the game and that great feeling after a victory. This administration has really ripped the heart and soul out of our club. We ,as fans ,have to stick together and believe the good times will return….. BELIEVE !
All depends how long it’s taken him to persuade his boss.
So ,he will be relying on funds being sent by his boss in the Far East ,sounds familiar.
According to the interview, they were in and the spanish beat them to the punch
The Spanish were late bidders themselves ,but that is understandable.Frampton is a local business man and supposedly a Latics fan.He should have been aware of the situation right from the start. If he was really interested his bid should have been in months ago ,but no ,he waits until someone else gets exclusivity and then claims he has put a bid in but the admin don’t want to know.Really ?
It should be either all clubs can have crowds back or none can. It’s bound to cause arguments.Clubs will claim it’s an unfair advantage ,and rightly so ,if they can’t have crowds in and other clubs can.
I think the Spanish have more or less said the same with the supporters club money. If this Frampton bloke really cared ,as a local business man ,he would have been involved months ago. There are a lot of unanswered questions with him, admin don’t want to know for probably a very good reason. If he is as committed as he says he is then he should be ready to make the Spanish an offer in a few years time.Don’t forget they put the money on the table when no one else was prepared to do so.
I beg to differ ,the admin have to find the budget proposals acceptable in order to present them to the EFL for approval. Everything is now in place for the EFL to give that approval ,if they don’t then we are back to square one.I really am sceptical regarding these new bidders ,don’t forget at the start of all this there were over fifty interested parties , most of them turned out to be time wasters .At least the Spanish have put the money on the table and presented a realistic way forward.
