Like i’ve said on another thread i bet whelan regrets not paying that extra bit of dosh & going for mclaren when it was between him & coyle.
One of the following:
Moyes – friend of whelan’s im led to believe.
pulis
hughton
mackay
My sentiments exactly JR.
Personally i thought he was going to be the right man for the job, but things started going sour IMO by around march last season which has continued into this season.
If he is to go, there are only 4 managers who spring to mind:Moyes – but wigan is probably too small for him & he, too big a name for us. But you never know. He needs a job & has managed at lower league level before albeit his first managerial role.
Pulis – wouldn’t be my ideal choice, as his style of football isn’t the best. However in fairness to him he does have a good track record of getting teams promoted & maintaining teams in whatever league he gets promoted to.
Hughton – unfairly sacked by norwich IMO but decent manager at this level.
Coyle – :O
However, i wonder just how much DW now regrets not getting mclaren in the first place.
Yes
When rosler came in last season & effectively turned things around, i thought yes we have a decent manager who can do things with us. However by around march there seemed to be a different mentality around the team & the football served up wasn’t the best – we had lost our way & scraped through matches.
A lot of neutrals after the QPR play-offs said to me how unlucky we were not to get through. Im not sure if they were being polite, but imo, i thought we were sh1t in both games.
Roll onto this season & yes, i have only been to 3 games so far c/o work, but from what i’ve seen so far & from what i’ve read on here, i really am not very confident.
On the positive side, its only november & we are just 4 wins of a play off place. However, unless a settled side is picked on a regular basis, barring injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc., we can forget any top 6, let alone a top half finish. Is no one going to tell me what’s happened to him.
How long before kick-off do managers need to submit their team sheets. He probably does a lucky dip just before he hands it in.
What was the plan in the first place
Anyway, back to the OP topic..
Ballboys that actually do the job they’re supposed to do.
Old fashioned photographers (at springfield park) with just an umbrella for protection behind the goal being pelted by snowballs.
Not being able to walk down to t’other end at half time.
Has Andy Delort vanished off the face of the Earth?Has gone to the same place where waghorn went for a few weeks before magically re-appearing.
Its just a shame really that our supporters constantly slagged off/slated/berated/bemoaned etc, etc, one of the better penalty takers this club has ever had & probably would have scored our last 2 pens.

Sounds like he’s doing a bloody awful job for a bloke who ain’t played for nigh on a year. 10 pts from 12 since he arrived and can’t get in our squad cos he won’t live in Pem!
I haven’t seen as many positive comments about a Latics centre forward for many years.
Swallow your pride Uwe and get him back straight away and play him up front with A.N Other.
Our three ‘hotshot’ strikers we have here at present need lessons on how to be a striker as they seem to either have forgotten or more to the point have never known.
Or, they just simply can’t play in this lone striker role & need A.N.Other alongside them.
“Oh sh1t!” Not that f***ing beachball again.
We didn’t lose 8-0
You weren’t playing a top-4 premier league team away. You were at home to a side who were two leagues below you 18 months ago.
Southampton are not really a top 4 side though are they. Just hitting a bit of form at this time of season. Bet you they don’t finish top 4 come may.
We are now unbeaten in 3.
