I’ve just had a re-read of my post. Imagine this if you will. As i’ve said but in different terms I am surrounded by supporters who in fairness are not the most intelligent nor appreciative of our players/team. Sometimes i wonder why they actually bother turning up. The abuse that gomez gets off these people is absolute shocking, yet other players make mistakes during the game – nothing!!!!

I dont mean to put down his achievement & sorry if it comes across that way, but maybe your lucky & sit around some of our more intelligent & appreciative supporters of gomez. Where i sit i’m in a minority surrounded by numpties.

Personally i don’t think powell is of united quality going off the signings they are rumoured to be bringing in. If we go up this season i could see him signing for us, if not, i think he’ll sign for one of the other “minor” premier league teams who are after him because IMO he is only a smaller premier league team kind of player.
I personally hope we secure 5th place as i will be able to go to the first leg. Finish in 6th & i cant go.
We’ve managed to keep a lot of the “hardcore” fans (around 12-13000) this season which i personally have been impressed with as i envisaged a huge clearout of fans following our relegation. I remember playing crystal palace during our promotion season in the championship years ago & only 6000 or so turning up. So yes, our increase in fanbase has grown over the last 10 years. We are a very young club & what we have achieved as a club as a whole since 1978 should be greatly admired by all.
The championship play off final has been played on the saturday for the past 2/3 seasons now. But TBH, i think its better on the bank holiday.
