not a latics fattie, but anyone remember gary bravin – blakpool player. latics fans gave him stick all game for beibg fat, then he pulled his shirt up to reveal one of the best 6 packs ever & all the latics fans completely dumbfounded.
Well done Bobby. You have kept us up despite:-
1) Through no fault of your own having hardly any time to do any pre season business in the transfer market.
2) Losing arguably, our most influential player just weeks before the start of the season.
3) Having some of your best players distracted through the attention of other teams trying to sign them.
4) Being left a pish poor squad by the previous manager.
5) Attempting to play football the right way even though you know many of the players are not up to it.
6) Having, its got to be said, some of the worst decisions go against us and not having the luck go our way that some of our performances have deservedAnd to all the posters on here who have said from day one we would get relegated and in many cases have talked as though they wanted him to fail. To all those people and you know who you are;-
well said jrfatfan. agree with you 100%. someone talking sense at last.

is the group hug open to everyone. :o
thankyou aceface. been saying & repeating the same thing since i joined CL.
filmoss got in before me. “couldnt agree more” meant i agreed with what minerva said. :D
could not agree more. the aim of this season from the beginning WAS to stay up & it looks as if that has now been achieved. martinez has been learning all season & has had to learn fast – but i think he’s done it. i don’t want to count chickens, but i am looking forward to next season when all the bruce dead wood signings have gone & bobby can bring in the players he wants. he has brought some good signings this season, most notably diame, gohouri, moses to name but a few. jury still out on gomes, scotland, & goalkeeper (whose name i cant spell) i agree, but methinks these will only be backup/carling cup players anyway.
KEEP THE FAITH!!
supporting the blue & white team since 1978.
WE ARE STAYING UP, WE ARE STAYING UP :D :D :D :D :D :D
what i was supposed to say was pick up 3 points against arsenal – got my london geography mixed up.
     ditto

The Portsmouth game was supposed to be nailed on. Yet Bobby and his boys managed only a draw. A ‘realistic’ result under current circumstance and form.[/quote]
didn’t know there was a guarentee on beating pompey – mighty aff. chelsea & liverpool were both supposed to be nailed on wins for them both – didn’t work out like that though!!
ok, the pompey result was frustrating, but to be honest i think we could have played portsmouth under 16’s & still not managed a win. i detected a lot of nerves & anxiousness on wednesday & it dosen’t help when we have the worst bunch of moaning fans in football history who if you don’t want this club relegated, stop the booing, jeering and the rest of the negativity & get behind the team. the lads need our support now. start the criticisms at the end of the season.
good shout mate.
i agree with truelatic – rodders playing in a more central position behind main striker could work & maybe should be given a try.
