Absolutely superb!
What on earth was you thinking vat??
I personally stopped buying programmes around 5 – 6 seasons ago. Why, i’m not really sure TBH, as i always bought one & like you crammy would read it once home.
I do think it would be the end of an era if programmes stopped completely. They are indeed part & parcel of football & many a person’s hobby.
However, i also believe the introduction of fanzines over the past few years has caused the reduction in programme sales. I think most would rather read a fanzine as opposed to a programme. I prefer to do so now. A magazine by the fans for the fans.
In all honesty, it is very rare i watch an england friendly. I haven’t watched the past 2, & i haven’t watched many friendlies these past few years. Main reason – they bore me.
(Shock horror! I don’t even watch wigan friendlies for more or less the same reason. Since moving to the JJB/DW, i have probably watched about 2 friendlies. They do nothing for me).
I do however watch the qualifier games & most definitely the world cup/european championships.
I do understand the whole reason for friendlies, ie for match practice, trying out formations, chance for manager to look at players etc, etc. But they are usually played at a snails pace, & hence boring.
Is it me or was that first half tonight against the mighty Costa Rico a total bloody bore. Like watching paint dry.
Too much passing again!!!I take it you’re looking forward to the belgium match donny? Should be a match of passing galore, especially if bobby’s tactics are true to form.
Sorry Runcs I meant this time last year. Don’t think we can expect to hear about proper signings untill the takeover is finally completed. Proper in the context of signing players who are better than what we already have. If indeed we do sign players like that after we are taken over.Haha! Sorry donny. The way i read your post it sounded to me like you were expecting us to be relegated.
TBF my family & i spent the day in glasgow about 2 years ago. I found them, infact 99% of the scots to be very accommodating. There was banter – “yes!” But nothing what i would regard intimidating &/or aggressive.
Maybe would have been a little more excited about it this time next year. What do you mean donny by this time next year.
Nipped down to the stadium this morning after work to get mine & my sons.
Received the tickets there & then. I have never known that in my life. Usually receive them in the post about 30 minutes before kick-off. Well done the club.
Yep, did exactly the same myself today.
The person at the window went away for a couple of minutes and came back with the cards. Do they make them as you wait?[/quote]They must have done. I was shocked to get them there & then.
Sammy, you wasnt there at 10am by any chance was you?

My concern is this….The new owners have said they want premier league football in 2 seasons, which is fine if thats what they want. However, there are also clubs far bigger than ourselves wanting the same thing. If we as a club fail to reach their aspirations, what then? Do they invest more money or do they pull out – leaving us in the ****.
I too have my doubts cupwinners, but que sara & all that.
Reece james is the mystery to me. Frozen out all of a sudden. Something happened methinks.
I honestly couldn’t tell if it was chris thompson. But it has been confirmed by JR on this site, & another person on facebook.
Definitely went way too early did thommo.
Thanks for uploading the photo garswood. I was 15 at the time. If i remember, we where taking my grandparents to the airport & just happened to bump into ray mathias & the team – who were only too happy to oblige.
