Set to join oldham on a permanent deal.

He was quoted as saying that he want’s to play for “the Latics” and not “the Tics” :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
:) :) :)

I actually dont mind referring to us as the tics or ticsmon. I much prefer that than being labelled as “the other latics.”

This may seem petty to some of you, but I am increasingly cheesed off when I hear us referred to as ‘tics’.

We are LATICS… have always been LATICS, and always will BE LATICS!

I for one, hate this new name that some refer to our club as. We are the LATICS, that’s our history. Nobody should try and alter it. It’s hard enough to live up to your name as it is, without that.

So please, let’s forget this tics nonsense and get back to good old LATICS.

There are lots of stupid things occuring in football these days but it’s like anything else it just moves on and develops in various ways.
Like having one striker instead of 2, eh donny :)

We have been very slow in our build up play for a while now. We need to go at teams quicker & actually run at them, as opposed to getting the ball & stopping & holding up the ball waiting to do a backwards/sideways pass.

Well it’s good to see that those crazy loan contract agreements that tied down the managers last season look like they have not been entered into this year with the return of Sarkic and Toney due to them not having game time.
In turn this praise should also be reflected on Paul Cook in his consistent team selection something we have been crying out for for years.

    In cook we trust!

Doesn’t really matter now Mutty. Maybe you should have kept him for league one next season or are you going to make a pre season swoop for Toney and Sarkic to help with next season’s promotion push.

    :) haha! :)

Be a change not bringing in 3 keepers

Well Sarkic has gone back. Bruce not happy that he wasn’t playing.
Frankly I wasn’t impressed with him, and we have two good keepers.
Its been said before elsewhere & by another poster, but how dare bignose dictate how many games sarkic should play. Was he expecting him to be in the starting 11. I wasnt impressed either if im being honest. Would have preferred bogdan back ;)

I bet it is similar to Evans and Wolves situation. The barcodes will want to get him off their books rather than have him lingering around from club to club. Toney will be on decent money of which Newcastle will be paying a good percentage of. Scunny may be willing to pay a few hundred grand for him perhaps and Cooky doesn’t think he’s worth a permanent contract. Then again I might be way off the mark.

No JR! You could be spot on with your assessment. Cook has had 6 months to look at toney & has probably made the judgement that he isnt up to championship level, let alone league 1.

    HAS to be Massey

    Beat me too it egg.

in reply to: Evans and Colclough #164830

Gutted about evans if there is any truth in it.

in reply to: Shaun McDonald #164822
    Evans wasn’t our player

But he might be soon as he isnt wanted by wolves according to reports. And, wasnt there something in his loan contract stating that we could sign him permanentely?

in reply to: What has changed? #164820

Its because some still regard us as this big club, that we never really were.

in reply to: Powell and Grigg #164793

Probably saving them donny for the next league game.

in reply to: Here we foo kin go #164774

I posted a thread a while ago about how important it was for us at this stage of the season to be top of the league. Being where we are means we do not need to sell our star players.

If we do sell the likes of powell this month, it will be completely suicidal & WILL end our promotion push. Unless, of course a replacement is lined up.
