only two games left and people from wigan have woke up, shame its taken so long
not really, today was for season tkt holders so already awake, obvious issue is not enough tkts for what will be the biggest game since sheff utd, in a stadium where the home support is vocal, the club have been banging on about 12th man great support etc, then when its needed they let us down, 1400 is bollocks 2500 or even 3000 like the old days at huddersfield leeds barnsley QPR. This is shit.end of.
Not saying it’s the right decision Scholes, just trying to offer a thought on what their thinking might have been.Had they sold none of the additional tickets, it would have cost the club £35k. Not a huge amount in the scheme of things, I suppose. That said, had they done, and we did get relegated before the Stoke game and nobody wanted the tickets, people would have slagged them off wasting club money.
we may not have sold the remaining 1400 but neither would wigan be left with 1400,so the 35k does not matter, im betting a further 1000 tkts would sell.
Watched Jeff Spelling and his panel yesterday and Phil Thompson should hang his head in shame. The way he provided an impartial commentary you would have thought he was a West Ham fan. Shock horror have Match of the Day on and the commentator thinks West Ham can win the last two games. What is it with the media and West Ham they should have gone down two seasons ago after the Tevez affair. They are a horrible set of cheating Cockney Barstewards and if there is any justice we will send them down. I’m sure most real football fans and Sheffield United fans in particular will be hoping for a Wigan win.
a quick look into the future tells me the media darlings will be giving it west ham this that and the other from about wednesday, the referee will be influenced by it all come saturday and we will be frustrated by dubious decisions all day ending with a very dubious penalty awarded to wet spam.
Thanks for that but we’re stopping over in Newcastle on Saturday night so the coach isn’t an option.you could always try what we did on our 1st prem visit to the SOL, arrived late drove right up to stadium, asked bloke in hi-viz best place to park, get your selves in here he says as he lifts a players only barrier, class.
we stayed over in Whitley Bay last yr, done newcastle to death, eye opening, just like being in amsterdam, free live pub sex-strip shows till 6pm then more ladys out the lash than youve ever seen at neet.I think we’ll win
when you reckon this match will come on match of the day?LAST!
if we win we will be on last, if we lose then we will be on first, no one likes i dont care, media k-nobs
Does it still show strippers or is it a family pub now?Where is decent to go, as I haven’t been to the pit in a decade or so..
i still have one of those £5 pics of the 2 strippers in the manchester from our last trip, made it my f/b profile pic today for nostalgia haha.
For once:
 on the coverage
:snooty: on the (non) analysisi stopped watching motd yonks ago win lose or draw, utter shi=te full of k-nobs. they are defo as smug as grey and keys.
Unfortunately if Spurs have aspirations of playing in the CL next season then this is a must win game for them. I cant see them winning it so they will be going all out for 4th place and Harry will have them up for this one .If we were to beat Spurs it would probably be the end of their chance so i expect a real battle and im worried to be honest.it,ll be a toughie but i think we can do the 1st back to back weve ever had under martinez..
Still no proof it will work for 90 minutes so no, not the end of the debate at all.And you’re right, Di Santo was pants.
no proof, it has to be tried first. i for one think it will work, has to be far and away better than 1 up front,
wat does this do to manage to stay on for 90 mins.crossing and corners are absolute shiote.doesn’t run with the ball,1 touch passing.victor mosses past 3 matches has been taken of after 60 mins.really do feel at times mosses was wasted coming to this club. :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:you need to look at his overall performance not 2 bad corners, fig is caught out every other attack yet is a star when he grabs the winner, 2 sides to everything
just found out that we do actually have unlimited allocation untill blackpool sell out :) could be quite an healthy following but id get my ticket tommorow if i hadnt already got one
A good away following and blackpool does life get any better……  [/quote]
the sun might be shining, 2 for 1 in every pub we go in, and a handsome win to boot….
spot on, rallying call for the fans, get behind the team, enough said.
I would imagine if mccarthur got more of a game then he could make a name for himself out side wigan, but as his chances has been limited i doubt any other teams will have noticed him and pinned him down as a potential buyhe had a decent game for the jocks tonight and clipped in with a goal, more of a decent run and the 2 jimmys will both be star turns,
I’m actually looking forward to it.Get rid of the cling-on ‘fans’, the hangers on and JCL’s.
Clear out the mercenaries.
Don’t get ripped off going to games.
Might start enjoying it again.
Ok, I WANT us to go down now.
fairplay to you then, ta-raaa, see you later.Have you checked the prices of fizzy pop games, more expensive than some of ours.As for jcls, are you mad, like someone else has said they are the new fans that every club needs to grow.
Cheers.I,ll throw Dave Glenn into the mix, cause he was left back when i started watching latics and his wife is now my boss.
