trip or no trip to tenerife latics players in the bolton game could not be bothered or were told not to,the only people not in the loop were people who paid good money to watch that night – and that is a disgrace.
I second what legolad said.
I cannot for the life of me believe that the club, i.e. Whelan and/or Martinez, would deliberately tell players not to try. What possible benefit would that serve and what kind of message would that send out to all those involved at the club?
Surely, you can’t believe they were told not to try.I believe truelatic4eva has learned he is Whelan’s secret love child and also that he has been excluded from the will.

He is positive, supportive of the club and even Bobby seems to be getting a fair crack of the whip. In fact i havent disagreed with a point he has made all week! Whats changed VAT?
And verily I say unto thee, it came to pass, in the land of the heathens that speaketh in strange tongues he met JAYus Trist and lo, was converted!
Started off in the south 1999-2002 ish and then defected to the west after trying the north (before it was colonised by away fans) and east which seemed alien and primitive. Now happily settled in the west with the army of Victor Meldrews who never sing.
As you well know singing isn’t tolerated in the West. Loud tutting with raised eyebrows is about as turbulent as it gets.
I decided to watch from the East Stand last night. Completely different perspective of course and quite strange. Like being in another ground.
Also, cos i wasn’t packed in like a penguin, as is the case when I’m in the West, it was a dam sight colder.I think it’s a good thing.
Some sun, warmer weather, and training.
How you can criticize the move, is beyond me. I expected it.
I just wonder if some of those who played last night were aware they would be missing out on a trip to Tenerife had the game been won?
I suspect, had they won, that the trip would have been off completely, wouldn’t it?
Well, er…… Yes :?
I also suspect that had they won, not all those playing last night would have missed the squad for Tenerife.I think it’s a good thing. Some sun, warmer weather, and training.

when i went to buy my tickets yesterday a very pleasant young lady in the ticket office offered me some cracking seats in the west stand – i ummed and arred whilst looking at the screen – she informed me if i wanted the ‘good ones’ i needed to make my mind up quickly as the season ticket holder was making noises about now buying them despite having loads of time to reserve his normal seat. ;)I wouldn’t umm and ahh to long LMB or else they’ll get sold!
Anyway I’ve been and got a ticket for the West. The seat number is V103.why what happened over weekend at the milenium?
Tom Jones was on
That’s not unusual…….Well somebody had to say it!
ES2 it is then. :text-blondmoment:
You’re not celebrating a birthday shortly are you GL? ;)
I’ve kind of psyched myself out of not going in the West now, more so since a reasonable story has been devalued somewhat by a technicality.
You’ll be on your own in the South Stand, because it’s shut.Oh well, that’s sorted that then.
Thanks for the info.quote “I should also add that my brother, who’s a die-hard Wigan rugby supporter ”Get the man sorted Sammy :angry-argument:
In all fairness he’s supported the rugby all his life, and by supported I mean actually going to games, even when they were relegated and had 3,000 on in the eighties. I kind of admire him for that.
I should also say I have another brother who’s a die-hard Latics fan and hates the rugby with a passion, so two out of three ain’t bad in a “rugby town”. :naughty:The minibus was still parked at the side of the away end when Springfield Park was vandalised/knocked down. I’m sure it’s now parked on somebodys driveway down Toulston Road. They got there use out of that minibus
There’s no way on God’s earth that thing is still running around after 25 years.
Those things were full of rust when brand new.
