“Cash strapped City” and Joe Royle took over as manager.
He is now a director at Latics.
What on Earth is that article to do with us 21 years later?
You really will have to do better.
VAT, everyone sat around me uttered the words “You stupid idiot,” or words to similar effect & as you say, even before the ref had even given it. It was a nailed on penalty & as I keep saying, a very stupid & needless one to give away.Exactly what we said
As Eggy says, armband means little except to call for the toss of the coin.
Fox seems to be the sort to lead on the pitch, directing, cajoling, instructing.
Just what we need.Would you prefer that we released him?
10000
Neil Warnock
100% and his interview after the FA cup game showed him up as the knob he is
I actually like him, always have, and he has handled himself well with the tragedy of the last few weeks. Handled it with dignity, and the fact he has travelled to Argentina for the funeral today, deserves respect.
He is actually a really really nice guy if you talk to him (as I have). Friendly, articulate, yes charming.
Until the whistle blows and then he completely changes character.
But underneath he is a nice guy.Totally irrelevant what Stoke players cost….can only base opinion on what I saw last night, and they were poor. Still as poor as they were we were shit and Stoke should have won it..As for Clarke……he created nothing and centre halfs had him in their pockets all night.Have you ever thought of going and watching a different team? Or even a different sport?
You see nothing at all enjoyable in watching Latics, but you continue to tell us all about it. If it makes you so miserable then go somewhere else.
Stop tormenting yourself. And us.
I seem to remember everyone on here having an absolute meltdown when we played all the youngsters against Accrington.
James to the bench??
Are you serious?I think Donny means James back to RB which is why Byrne is benched.

I’m not sure he does, or it’s not clear:
“Bang em in too for Morsy” which I read as Beny Bangemine in for Morsy
” then Evans for James and Byrne to the bench.” which I read as, well, Evans for James, and Byrne to the bench.Donny> can you clarify please?
James to the bench??
Are you serious? In answer to the original question: because under Martinez we were in the Premier League. Hoofing it forward would just give the ball to the opposition who would then come back at us wave after wave. Our problem was that we didn’t have players who were fully able to play the ball out with neat passing. Hence we struggled.
Now we certainly don’t have players who can play neat passing movements, and we have seen some disastrous moments already where we are caught in possession or misplace passes at the back. Hoofing on occasion at this level doesn’t mean the opposition will gain control necessarily, and is often the best option to clear the lines.
The very simple answer then is that we are playing at a different level, with a different class of player (even taking account my criticism of the PL players’ ability), and so a different style is needed.
He was a Latics fan but when we were asked to put our hands in our pockets to help he turned and ran.Funny you mention that on a thread that talks about the game at Peterborough.
I can smell piss. Is it me?I’m afraid so.
