I think the view is hot and cold on McManaman, mutty, and I can see why.
On his day (Cup Final, Everton 2013 as examples) he was unstoppable. But at the end of his time with us he was moody.
But remember we are talking about a person. A person with feelings, not just a robot.
He believed he was talented; his Cup Final performance showed that. But Rosler was a poor man manager, and was a complete tinker man. How many games, compared for example to Cookie, did he keep the same team? Players became disenchanted, Callum had been a PL player, and was now reduced to bit parts by a manager who in hindsight (and it’s a great thing) didn’t know Madras from his Elba. At the same time his agent is nibbling away in his ear.
The hints are there is his interview.
He has talent if managed correctly. He has an ego, certainly, but so do Ronaldo, Messi, Rooney et al (I’m not saying he’s that standard of course but the principle applies). It’s what makes them good players. We don’t want shrinking violets.
Managed correctly, in a supportive environment, he could be a great asset.
I think he’s learned. Doesn’t he say that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
I hope, hope, he has matured and could be a great asset for us.Looking at our squad as it stands I can only see us struggling to compete with two thirds of the Championship teams, right now the squad is simply not strong enough, lets hope in changes in the next few weeks or we could be the new yo-yo club and mirror the likes West Brom and BirminghamIf we struggle to compete with two thirds then we are competitive with a third, which is enough to survive. I DO have a health issue with them. And that is completely NOT your business.

They are banned. Whether I or you or the Man in the Moon objects or supports, they are banned. Are you having trouble with that concept? It’s not being enforced.

It is already banned, so you’re rabbiting irrelevancies mean nothing.
The fact that you don’t seem to realise that it is banned makes my point that the fact needs to be better publicised.I’ll repeat my plea from above as teh new season dawns.
Can we make a bigger effort to signpost that e-cigs are banned?
They ARE banned and have been for years, but the only mention is a small paragraph at teh very back of the programme. I am sure many people don’t know.
Signposting should be clearer, and the announcer when they say “The DW Stadium is a no-smoking stadium…” add “including electronic cigarettes”I applaud the conviction of any racist – including those who may live in Sunderland. The guy lives in Sunderland, and Sunderland aren’t exactly known for their love of Magpies.

No. This guy was a misguided, bitter Sunderland fan. We all have them (bitter and misguided I mean).
