Could well be something as simple as that with a new baby at home, he’ not getting enough rest and it’s affecting his match fitness.
It’s happened with players before.
And that shows up in fitness stats during training.
These things are micro-analysed now. There was a first checkmark, but with an option to continue discussions. All the date was was a guarantee that Latics wouldn’t enter into discussions with anyone else. If no one else is in contention then it’s a very artificial deadline.
I certainly wouldn’t read anything at all into it, or expect any announcement until they’re ready.‘Dog’s bollocks’ is sometimes used to say something is good. Are you saying he was good or bad?
(For the record I think I know what you mean – and agree entirely – one of the worst displays from a midfielder this season – no vision or skill)Tried his hardest to tonight sammy
Only in the 88th minute though. Up until then he was being very careful.[/quote]
If you want a conspiracy theory, he did want to get booked at the end so he would only miss one, not two League games – which are more important.
He didn’t want to get booked too early though as that would risk another yellow and being sent off.
88th minute is actually perfect.Second half wasn’t so great when the new signings were introduced and don’t think they would have made any difference if they had started last night either.I don’t know why it should be but if a couple have poor games then the whole team seem to go to pieces. It’s as though it’s infectious. Very rarely do you see a game (and I’m including non-Latics games here) where half a team have stinkers and the other half are playing out of their skins.
Be a brave person to put any great sums on us getting back into that top three. What? We win our game in hand and we’re top by two points.
Some rubbish is spouted on here.
We’ve had a wake up call that’s all.
For all you Darksiders to note: we are now safe from relegationI thought everyone was saying what a magnificent transfer window we’d had.
A bad few days and it’s everyone on suicide watch!
Yes – tonight was abysmal, but we’ll get over it.Morsy now only misses one League game instead of two if he’d got booked after the City game. The City game is actually an irrelevance so he may as well miss that one.
Maybe that was the plan?Takeover should have no impact at all on the players.
In fact they probably know the same as us about it – employees of a company are not privy to financial discussions about a company’s future. That’s why I’ve said elsewhere if (when) Morsy is going to pick up another yellow and get banned for 2 games, I’d rather he picked it up tonight and only miss one League game
That’s assuming he plays
Will he even attend games, or is Garry Cook going to be his ‘face’ in the directors box?I would think the answer to that will be a resounding “no”.
This will be a small part of his potential business empire across the World from the other side of the World.
But tbh that doesn’t bother me.Crowd of 12,416.
Well that made it worthwhile.Yes it was a midweek match and it was the first home game.First league match was against Hereford Town…
I wouldn’t believe anything on that website.
All made up on the spot and not been touched for years ;)Here’s one I colourised earlier :)
