Bummer! I’m working!
Geoff Capes breeds budgies, would never of thought he’d be that type of personWhat do you mean by that type of person.?
Ondex
Well the fella used to bend metal bars over his head and rip telephone directories in half wouldn’t think Budgies was his sort of thing. Thinking about it Mike Tyson breed pigeons so what do I know.

He is also our laziest, slowest and most tackled player, the sooner he and Beausejour go the better. Our most tackled player! your having a laugh, very rarely loses the ball and when he does you can hear the groans and moans, a few weeks ago the lad next to says “Gomez again” after he lost the ball this was about 40 minutes into this particle game, I pointed out it was the first time he had been caught in possession. compare that to McCleen/Roger running around like headless chickens always losing the ball or passing into an empty space yet people love them.
Gomez wins us more free kicks than any other player his pass completion most be amongst the best at the club if not the best, his vision is excellent the problem he has is when players in front of him are too static and that is when he’ll end up turning around and passing back or get caught in possession much to the displeasure of some of the thick tw*t that sit near me!
We should sing Martinez’s name in the same way the Utd fans sing about their former players regardless of who they went on and played for or managed. Bobby is a Wigan legend who will go on to become a great manager whether it’s in this country or the continent, his connection to Wigan Athletic should be something we take great pride in.
Jordi our most intelligent footballer by a country mile, such a pity a proportion of our support cant see it.
Well done lad.
i like whelan worked for him a whileYou say you worked for him……..we never would of guessed!
A Nobby lotter mate of mine had a budgie that died, he thought a lot of this bird and so decided he wanted to bury it in his garden only problem he was moving house in a months time and so wanted to bury it in his new garden.
The solution was to put the bird in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer, now all was fine until he went away for a couple of days and a poster on this site who shall remain nameless house sat for him.
Feeling hungry he decided to look in the fridge for something to eat, not much in the fridge so he took a peep in the freezer and found a bag of oven chips and a frozen budgie.
I think he ended up going the chippy.
Just thought I’d continued Arkys budgie theme
Funnily enough, this thread made it into a Wigan Athletic fanzine that’s sold on matchdays.‘Spectacular own goal’ or something similar was the phrase used.
Half of my mudhutter was printed upside down, I wonder if it will become a collectors item.
To be fair 4200 was more than their average attendance when they went down a league, something else the bitter tw*t doesn’t like reminding of!
Would have taken Cardiff at home, we may need a replay…could have been far worse though.
What potential though if we can get past Cardiff. 2 out of the big 4 deffo out. Definitely 1 or good chance of 2 other Championship teams in the 6th Round.
This is just starting to look a bit like last year all over again….
Exactly.
As I said to the chap next to me yesterday down at the DW … as regards the FA Cup going back in March (replica presented), they forgot to add it’s only being lent back to the FA (couple of months) … it’s coming back to Wigan on May B) :cheer:
Seriously, were the unthinkable to happen …. would anyone (Whelan – albeit businessman) forsake promotion this year, FA Cup retention preferred ?
Once was unbelievable, two ? … well (off to the shrink)[/quote]
Win it again, Jesus! Mutty will be having kittens!
If we’re going to be drawn against a Premier league team then you’d choose Cardiff, bottom of the league, new manager and unproven, priority being league survival and a clown of an owner that has alienated the fans. Also we can play in blue when we play the bluebirds..
Mclean would be great if he would lift his head upCouldn’t agree more, can go past a man then knock a ball into empty space and yesterday one on one with the keeper all he had to do was a side pass and Powell knocks the ball into an empty net. But saying that he had a good game yesterday and he will always give you 100%, onwards and upwards.
What’s the betting we’ll get City or Everton next round.
I touched Elsie Tanners, leg once,I couldn’t help visualising Steptoe when reading that, “you dirrrrty old man”
I once offered Brian Clough and Viv Anderson one of my Monster Munch, I was only young at the time, Viv shook his head and cloughy ignored me so I suppose he could of been a bit ignorant! still a genius though.
