i thought hugo was a threat all day. The centre half (Dawson??) didn’t put a foot wromg until hugo went up top , then had a nightmare. scotland just doesn’t give defenders a hard time.
As for the midfield – 1st half we were 10 yards at least away from them. Diame had an absolute shocker and Thomas tried hard without actually doing anything (though his “shot” did remind me of Ian Kilford). They both played really deep most of the game. 1 of them at least just stood in front of the 2 c. halves.
We were / are a much better side with charlie on the left and hugo up top, We all know that gomez aint the answer on the right though, so surely koumas / sinclair / Mccarthy (sp) could have a decent run in the side ??
1 thing is obvious, no more 4-4-2 for us with bob at the helm
i agree with everything you all say, BUT the rules at the mo are not in line with those views.
My point was that we are a million miles behind others including the likes of nob end, oldham, stockport and even bury in the way we think re youth set up

He needs to do things quicker and have LESS time on the ball, or even NO time on the pitch
I actually thought Gomez had a fairly decent game.He drew 2 or 3 saves from Green, and he never shy’s away from wanting the ball.
I think people need to get off his back.
sorry but he is far too slow. How many things did he create ??? He is supposed to be our cutting edge, yet is blunter than blunt Blunt McBlunt from Bluntsville. AND if I had a free role then I’m sure I could have 3 shots on target in 90 mins play

he bottled it two or three times – firstly, scholes should’ve been booked for his hand off on gomez, but he didn’t give the free kick because it was a booking which meant a second yellow. .. Rodellega pulled out of the challenge on foster and vidic refereed that for him. He knew vidic was gonna ‘do’ rodellega, failed to see it, or if he did see it, he chose to ignore it. He didn’t send rodellega off as he knew he’d have to either send vidic or hold his hands up to another error.
however, he is, in my opinion, the best ref we have
gomez has to play with 2 c. midfielders behind him because he loses the ball so much, he can’t play in a 4 man mid field. Why did bobby not drag him off ??? play a rotating 3 behind hugo if thats his system – use koumas ( who shouldn’t have been dragged off) sinclair n charlie.
Blue, I agree with you. I am not sure whether Kirky is fit or just gone to pieces with this new style of play. he looks a nervous wreck and seems to take EONS to make a decision. I think we need a new keeper meself.Nigel spink has left the club, before spink arrived kirky resembled shakin stevens, thought he was at fault badly for 2 goals yesterday meself. . . though he did make good saves in 1st half to be honest.
