I think it was Bloody Sunday that McLean feels passionate about enough to not wear a poppy. I haven’t seen a quote attributed to him that denounces IRA atrocities in Warrington, Enniskillen, Birmingham, Guildford, Canary Wharf, Manchester and omagh in such a strong and passionate manner as he espouses what happened in Derry before he was even born.
Both World Wars were before I was born so does that not entitle me to an opinion on what happened?

Spurs v City was originally earmarked to take place on Sunday, with Man Utd v Everton playing on Monday night. It was only once Spurs realised their ground wasn’t going to be ready that the game was switched to Monday night at Wembley.So the PL broke their own rules to save Spurs? Paul Jewell our greatest ever managerMaybe. Maybe not. Achieved great things but had all the tools in place to do so. Some of the non league lads achieved plenty with nothing. Ray Mathias could have done what Jewell did given time and he did well in two spells at the club.
Martinez kept us in the top flight for years with the smallest budget that decreased year on year, beat all the top sides and won the cup. Certainly an argument there.
For me though it was Warren Joyce.
